Now that you've had it done a while, are you pretty happy with the Shield Crete?

Did you use the Clear Glaze acrylic sealer that they recommend?

Yeah, no real problems. I know the painter did 2 coats of sealer, not sure which kind.

Re: The "Bunker" garage is almost complete!

Finally got around to getting some cabinets/workbench in the garage.

I went back and forth trying to decide what to get. Most of the pre fab stuff (no matter how nice) just didn't seem to fit right in the space alloted. In the end I decided to go with a local company that builds to order. This is phase one.. after I get a couple of rolling tool chests by the workbench, I'll put some additional ones around that..

Before:

After

They still need to come finish up some of the trim along the edges.. but overall it worked out pretty good. The workbench top is coated with Rhino lining (same stuff they use in truck beds)

You need to sign up at Ratemyspace.com, and post pics of this garage on there, and PWN EVERYONE.

I expected stainless steel cabinets & counter tops, but those look nice too.

I think that's the definition of a backhanded compliment. lol..

I actually was seriously considering the stainless steel route, but I couldn't find any that would fit the exact measurements that I wanted. Plus the Rhino lined workbench is just about the toughest, scratch resistant surface I could come up with..

Is it a smooth wipeable surface or is it ruff finish??

Thanks

Excellent build by the way.....

Yeah definitely, but on a more serious note, I would not accept the base cabinet on the left under the TV soffit as finished. They need to fur out a panel to make the cabinets have a clean finish to the wall. It looks like they may have planned that but just haven't done it yet. The black rubber base terminates all the way to the wall and you can see boards down there on the floor.

Do the outlets behind the counter conflict with the counter top? It looks like they might.

If you read last couple lines in the post, I mention that they need to come finish up the last few bits of trim. That part has since been fixed. There is alos now a black "backsplash" on the workbench" And yes.. the mismeasured a few inches and the outlets are a little closer to the bench than I would have liked.. but all's well that ends well I guess.

Time to stepup your game...

Utah997 - Finally something "The Bunker" doesn't have. Found below "Lambo Garage Link" on the two car garage thread (http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=14670)

Nice, Nice, Nice!

How about some diamond plate electrical cover plates to match your trim?

Now I know you have the coolest garage. Notice the e30 BMW on the TV?
