It's a decent gun as long as you have the air compressor to back it up. I don't think you will be sorry if you get it. Adam

I dont know much about painting or paint guns, but I know an ok amount about air.

To paint, you need dry air. For dry air you need one of two things...

Refridgerated drier...$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

OR!!!!

Something like this...

http://www.tptools.com/product.asp?...No=1&mscssid=THDVQ049QK7X8H089VHATV8AJVGHFVFE

This installs inline. Alot of guys who have plasmas install these right before thier plasma unit, because if you have moist air, you cut down on your cutting tip life as much as 5x.

The problem with this for you though, is that you dont need 100% dry air all the time, and replacing/maintaining these units will get expensive.

Something like this is more or less what you should look at.

To leave permanently attatched to the gun, so you have absolutly dry air only when you need it.

Also, for the gun, This place sells The "finishline" guns, check out thier prices.

I was thinkin about ordering a paint gun soon. Ill start a new thread on that, but basically, A can of good spray paint is like $3-$5, and a quart of decetn metal paint ids only a bit more, but it goes further thn with the can, and If I want to paint a really odd color, I can buy a "sample" size can of rustoleum, and not have to buy a whole can of s[pray paint and have it sit around for 6 years. I think eventually a gun will payf or itself.

Another really nice gun that i use only for clears is a Walcom Geo FX with a 1.3 tip. One of the best clear guns I've ever used. You can get them on ebay for around 300.00.
