I recently purchased a new construction home with a typical 3 car garage. The concrete slabs are about 2 months old so they are basically brand new so little to no concrete prep would be required. With that in mind can anyone help me out on what would be a reasonable price to have my floor professionally coated?
Im located in the Chicago suburbs (Plainfield, IL 60585) so recommendations would also be greatly appreciated on who to go with.

Here is a basic picture of the garage.

Thanks,
James

I am in a similar situation too. I have a 3 car garage in bridgeview Illinois that I had built last year. I am having drywall done now and would like to get it epoxied after it is finished so I will be done once & for all. I have had 2 estimates so far. The first one was $3800 from a company in the NW burbs, the second was from crest coatings in lagrange illinois. They quoted me $3500 & an additional $600 if I want the expansion joints filled. I am oing to try to get a few more estimates but it seems like that is the going price for the SQ footage that we have. My garage is 32x26. Those prices were including the prep, grinding the floor. Hope this helps. Rick

Thanks for the information guys that certainly helps. Now I know what general price range I need to be in for a 3 car garage. I just measured my floor and it looks like my garage is slightly smaller than yours its about 30' wide and 21.5' deep. One good thing that I like that my home builder did was he used a beefier I beam above the garage to eliminate a post between the 2 car stall and the 1 car stall. Seems most houses in my subdivision have that post in the middle of the garage which I did not want. Allows me to basically pull in sideways and stay plenty far away from my wifes car :)

Here is another picture showing the wall color I used. I just used one of the colors that the builder used on the interior of the home. The garage was not painted, but the drywall was all sanded and ready for paint so it was pretty easy. This picture was of my new Jeep for another forum, but this one shows the garage pretty well.

Thanks for the info!

James

Walls look great! Epoxy on the floor would really complete it. I am hoping to get mine painted next week and epoxy after that.
