Well last month I was looking at the sears website and noticed some KILLER prices on some OTC tools so I took a chance and ordered some that said in stock. Here are the prices I paid.

Item #00971312000
Mfr. model # 7068 $10.79
Qty:1

OTC Kit, Fuel Injector Cleaning
Item #00971622000
Mfr. model # 7659 $14.39
Qty:1

OTC Gauge Assembly
Item #00971365000
Mfr. model # 7211 $31.49
Qty:1

OTC Snap Ring Pliers Kit

OTC 6 Pc Super Duty Handled Pry Bar Set
Item #00971902000
Mfr. model # 8206 $18.89

The total was $143.64 before shipping. I checked the pricing today on the same items and they had went way up. I added the same items to my cart and the total came to $1,205.94. It has been a little over a month since my order and so far I have recieved the snap ring pliers kit, pry bar set, and the double flaring tool set. Hopefully the others will come soon.

WOW! I took a look at the prices now too. Holy ****, you made out well! At those prices, you should have ordered multiple sets and then mentioned the deal here!

I'm thinking that Sears website ineptness enabled you to score a great deal and that you're lucky your items cleared the cart checkout process.

Heck the fuel injector kit is 554.99 right now on Sears website.

If you get it for the price you paid and they actually send it, you got it for a helluva deal lol

no wonder Sears is going down the tubes, they're letting this kinda of **** go on. Once I mremember they did something similar. I tried to exploit it, but they canceled my order. I think they noticed I ordered about 25 too many pocket mirrors (I was getting them for free!)

Crazy deal. I looked up all the numbers because I couldn't believe it.
How come everything didn't come in one shipment?

You should call and complain about the long shipping.

Ha wow that was a great deal! Man I have to keep a closer eye on the Sears site.

I'm a little upset with Sears because some stuff I ordered on Black Friday I got charged full price for instead of the sale price and I still haven't been credited for the difference yet.

Anyone else thinking that his order might not get shipped/get cancelled?

Good possibility.

I ordered some items on Feb. 1st and finally received one of them yesterday. Although the other items are still showing "arriving in 5 days", the entire order is now showing as "completed".

Sears doesn't have a clue, and is blaming the delays on OTC.

Some guys in local CC auto tech school discovered that NH has mistakenly priced the Thunderguns on sale for $24.95 for on-line purchase. They were about to order and received about 25 before NH discovered the problem. This happened about one year ago.

I have called a few times about the shippig delay. They say its shipping directly from OTC. This is true confirmed by the shiping lable on the boxes. The snap ring spliers came friday and the prybars and flaring kit came yesterday. Hopefully the other stuff will trickle in.

What he received thus far is worth more than than what he paid, so he'd still be ahead by a bit.

Dispute it with your CC company and file a complaint with the BBB for quicker results.

What did you order? That happened with one of my orders a few months ago. It turned out that my order was "stuck in the system". Sears wouldn't cancel my order because it was "still processing" even two weeks past the "up to two day" period, so I disputed the charge with my CC company and filed a complaint with the BBB. I refused the package when it finally arrived and got a $10 gift card due to the BBB complaint.

I don't blame you for waiting to share your luck with us. =) I can still be envious as heck though!

Sorry, boss, but I was sworn to secrecy. I was forced to eat the link after I clicked it.

Oh, so he DID share it with a select few, eh? Just not me...

I guess I have to come clean and admit that I tipped wilbilt to the deal. I found it browsing the Sears site. I assume chavist93 found it browsing as well, I did not tip him to the deal. I had asked wilbilt not to post the deal. I had intended to share the info with more members but it came at an extremely hectic time for me and did not get around to it in time. After the prices went back up I decided not to post anything about it

I've seen the OTC stuff and a few other non Sears at really low prices, turns up in searches sometimes when you do low to high sorts etc., but nothing I was ever able to put in a cart.

I wouldn't consider it a deal unless the goods actually show up. I haven't had any success in the "oops" deals in the past. This time, it is one minor item so far after seven weeks. I'm not holding my breath on the rest.

This after several email exchanges with customer service, who have actually been very courteous and seemingly eager to please.

As for the morality of gaining from someone else's mistake, I'm on the fence when it comes to perceived deals. Sure, it is possible that somebody screwed up and listed a $140 puller set for $19.99...but then again, the clearance section of the local HD is full of things that were $99 six months ago on sale for ten bucks.

It seems that with the huge volume of cheap goods flooding our retail outlets, it makes more sense to blow it out than ship it back to the warehouse until next season, or find somewhere to store it onsite. The fewer times an item has to be moved, the higher the profit.

An update on these "great deals"...

"Dear Mr. Schxxxxx,

Thank you for contacting Sears.

We appreciate your email inquiry about the two missing items on your order. We apologize that you were not notified prior to writing this email that the other 2 items
on your order were canceled.

Look for Great Ideas throughout the store and find Sears exclusive innovations from great brands like Sony, Kenmore, NordicTrack, Craftsman and Reebok.

Shop sears.com now to pick up great products for the season. http://www.sears.com"

My card is still charged for the items that were "canceled". Gee, what great service.

F*** Sears.

Innovations from NordicTrack!?! No way! I gotta get over to Sears!

Does anyone really respond to advertising like that?

Guys, you do realize this is a total ploy by Sears to drum up sales, right? They're reeling you in with some cheap items.

So what did you end up getting? What did you not get?

F*** Sears.
Step 1: Recognize that the merchandise you received is worth more than the amount Sears charged you for in total.
Step 2: Email or call Sears to find out why your order was cancelled.
Step 3: Contact your CC company and inform them that Sears charged you for your order and then after several weeks of waiting, you inquired and they informed you that a good part of your order was cancelled. Dispute the charges.

Dispute all the charges. Let Sears carry the burden of sorting things out. Expect to get a form in the mail or something similar where you have to provide more information. Be sure to include the email you received.

Do NOT wait for Sears to refund your order if you can do a charge-back or dispute. There is no guarantee that they will do it in a reasonable amount of time if even at all.

Step 4: File a complaint with the BBB. Be honest and tell them the truth that you placed an order and that several weeks later after you still have not yet received your merchandise and no update from customer service. Mention that you had to ask about your order before someone finally told you your order was cancelled without any indicated reason.

Step 5: See step 1. Even though Sears sure pissed you off good, they likely lost some money on the merchandise they did send you.

Here is my order. I received the first item. The other two have been "canceled".

Get this - they did refund the shipping charges a week or two ago due to my "inconvenience".

sears.com is a train wreck. You can't help but poke around and see what happens.

Of the people who got deals, which item on your invoice was successfully received? ie., first, second, third, etc?

I'm wondering if it's the way they process the invoice...the first item gets thru, but then there's some sort of checkpoint and the rest of the order doesn't make it thru....I dunno.

I guess you still got a good deal on that first item though!

Did this ever make it to Slickdeals.net?

The OTC stuff has long been mis/low-priced on the sears website prior to the price correction. Since atleast the $5 off coupon. Most items were unavailable for purchase.
It seems that as they were redoing their web updates- A few OTC items became available at "excellent" sale prices ;).

I placed 3 separate orders - Only 1 item from each of the 3 orders was shipped- Basically an item with the least % off
Item Order is likely irrelevent- since Sears actually Reordered my orig order- (Date of purchase was modified)

They have been slowly refunding my CC item by item.

Not that great of a deal when I tally up all the time I've spent on the phone with customer service.

Ok, I just got off the phone with sears.com customer service. All the items that I didnt recieve were cancelled. She said because they were out of stock with the vendor. So I recieved the snap ring pliers kit, the flaring tool kit, and the pry bar set. All in all a total of $208 savings over the current prices. What I recieved is what I needed the most so I am happy.
