Hi there guys and gal's, well after many months of lurking I thought I would post some pictures of my New Barn, well new to me anyway.

I must say this place has been a very expensive habbit !!

That's a good looking barn! Time for a bottle of roundup for that driveway!

Ditto on the Roundup or some type of all vegetation killer. If you don't, those weeds are going to break up the asphalt in no time. Kill 'em off and get some sealer on it.

Very nice! I like it! Thanks for the pics. I alway like second floor/attic storage areas. I have so much stuff I try to make use of every inch.

I don't know how much space you need, but if you wanted to make more room both up and down stairs, you could put a door and set of stairs with a small landing deck on the outside. Then remove the inside stairs making room down stairs, and close off the opening in the floor making more room up stairs. A fairly cheap way to gain more space.

I have no idea, I will have a look next time I am down there, where is the model plate ?

On the left side on the downtubes from the dash, near the clutch pedal, about a 3"X2" tag - it will be in Japanese but the model should be readable in English, or in just numbers.

If you don't see a model # but you do see a serial # I can tell you where to go to get an ID. I buy my parts from a place in Texas, but I also know of one in Ill. Don't know any in Ca, but there may be some around.

Mine's been a terrific little tractor, as long as you use them within their limits.

mine (wheel horse) have a neutral switch, a seat switch and a pto switch.

So must be sit on, in neutral and pto off before it can be started.

Once it runs you can come off the seat it keeps running, (if in neutral and pto off.)

When in gear or pto on, just be on the seat also or it switches off.

Welcome tothe GJ
Nice work shop going together
what will you be working on when you are all moved in?
I like the work benches and I would keep them mobile if it
were me.

I want one of them!! My building manager has a regular forklift that gets stuck every time he goes in the lot out back. That would be killer!! Love your storage solution, I would keep the wheels on them just in case.

BarnFab, that is a 'Fab(ulous) Barn'! It looks maybe less than ten years old; what's the age? You hint at what sounds like some cool toys/tools to play with, how about some details/pics? Having both a diesel mini-tractor and a versatile forklift puts you on my 'Green With Envy' list!

What's on your 'To-Do' list and what's the order? Sounds like you have to get the machines going ASAP so you can make some money, but please take the time to document for us on GJ your progress on your 'Fab(ulous) Barn'!

Did you get the vacuum that goes with that Porter Cable sander?

I've used one of those (rented it at Home Depot) and they are a lifesaver if you have a lot of sanding to do.

You must feel like a kid on Christmas morning. No time to play with any of them, just got to unwrap the next present to see what it is. lol

Man, that forklift is certainly going to come in handy as you do the 'Garage Shuffle'! Try to keep track of how many times each item has to be moved until you feel it has 'found its home' in the shop; should be entertaining for all of us GJ'ers to watch the transformation. Take plenty of pics along the way as you seek 'Shop Nirvana'. I've been at it for too long now in my shop and I'm still at this :willy_nil stage! lol

No I dont have any info or manuals on the forklift. Mine has a manual clutch, I seem to have to replace the cable every couple of years.
My brakes have been out for years though! I need a new master for that but have come up with nothing to replace it with.

I looked high and low locally but I just get blank stares at lift dealers, with this old equipment you just have to wing it and be creative.

PINK SLATWALL!??? We won't make you turn in your 'man card', in fact, at $5.00 a sheet, I'd say you deserve a 'YOU ****!' award (a manly 'YOU ****!', not the 'other :supergay: kind'). lol

I hope your going to spray those pink slatwalls with some Glen20 or something!

It looks like you couldn't resist the temptation to go completely overboard buying tools again.

WHAAA?! A five year old boy NEEDS Dad's **** to play in, on, and around! He'll have 'toys' to play with that none of his friends will ever see in 'Toy-R-Us'. lol All you need to do is start buying him his own tools.
