Plus one on that. Easier to replace it. You never know if you may get a shock from it. You could also replace the fitting but by the time you do that you may also have a new lead.

That is interesting as I have been thinking I should make a steel grate to replace a couple of the timbers to allow air in as at present the timber covers have swollen that much it is almost...

The roof has insulation material. It goes on as a wire mesh then the insulation followed by the roof. No need to do the same on the walls. So far it is only one small section that stays damp not all...
