Re: Spline drive sockets worth it?

Had a mix of SK, Snap-On and Chinese Craftsman. Sold them recently since I only used one once on an E-Torx bolt, and ordered a set of E-Torx sockets the next day.

Re: Score!!!!!! free Mac tools side chest

That's a really cool little box. Congrats and "You Suck!"

Swap the top drawer down to the missing one, then you can put taller stuff in the top until you happen upon a replacement.

Re: Are Mid-depth Sockets Useful??

Mine are my main 3/8" sockets when going service calls. Have them on an Ernst rail with a couple of extensions and a flex ratchet. Even at the shop, I can just grab and go instead of individual...

Re: Williams reversible flex ratcheting wrenches

No problem. I checked the Williams catalog, and also the Snap-on site, hoping you could fill in the blanks with some Blue Points, but no such luck.

Re: Deep Metric USA Sockets - S-K Still Good?

As said, through eBay, go to the top of your cart and press the "Request Total" button and add a message to Request actual shipping cost. They'll get right back to you and squeeze everything in the...

Re: Williams reversible flex ratcheting wrenches

Yep, Williams & Blue Point Reversible flex only goes to 3/4".

Really nice wrenches, recently bought a single 10mm reversible flex for work, and it's as smooth as my most nicely worn in...

Re: knock-off m12 xc batteries

Thanks for the update. I'm still yet to kill any of my M12 batteries (although I've had to glue some with the broken plastic tabs.

Re: Good, local wire crimpers

I've been mostly using my Klein 1005 Crimper and 11055 stripper/cutter for years now, but recently bought a Snap-on PWCS7CF Stripper/crimper/cutter that works insanely well for the size. I keep...

Re: Bought some SK tools..

I had an extra 7/16" in the place of my 12mm in my 3/8" set I bought recently. Shot SK an email, and had the replacement within a week.

The quality of the product and the customer service are...

Re: Keep snap on 1/4" sockets or sell?

I sold my 3/8" Snap-on sets not long after buying them, and replaced with Williams and GW at the time. Don't miss them at all, and enjoyed the extra money in my pocket to invest in more tools.

If...

Re: Show your new tool arrivals

No clue. I've only bought one set of pliers from the guy in the near two years I've been in this shop, and usually miss his truck when it stops next door every week. I'm in an area where I hear...

Re: Show your new tool arrivals

A couple of new favorites, but glad I bought them used. 1/4" needs a kit (sockets just fall off), but hopefully I'll catch the truck on Thurs and buy one from him....

Re: Astro carbide burrs

I have the left hand Irwin set without the extractors (already have a set I don't use), and they work great.

I bought that set last year when they were on sale, EXCELLENT bits. I've broken and...

Re: Astro carbide burrs

I've dad my set for a couple of years now, and they've been fantastic.

I chipped one, but that was only because my old die grinder was worn out and not turning at full speed in a tight space...

Re: IR Thermometer: Fluke vs ??

I've been using the Fluke 62 for a while now. No complaints, no problems. Wasn't so thrilled when I saw China on the box (same with my Phase Rotation Meter) but it's been great.

Re: Carlyle Tool Sale

Thanks for the info, I should have checked my buddies MAC set for COO, and explains why the Snap-on set I bought seemed larger than I remembered the MAC ones being. Now to add them to the Tool Truck...

Re: Carlyle Tool Sale

I edited my original post, I meant to say they "look identical", since I've only even see the Carlyle set through pictures, and the Snap-on set I have at work (and my friend's MAC set that got me to...

Re: New Standard in Crappy Multitools

That makes me think of the dog creatures in John Carpenter's "The Thing". Trying to imitate something real, but a mess of parts while trying to transform into a convincing "thing"

Sorry, my inner...

Re: Carlyle Tool Sale

I've been very interested in those, as the Snap-on / MAC branded ones look identical, and it makes me wonder about the COO on the Carlyle branded set VS the piss poor etching that says USA on the...

Re: Gearwrench going out?

Well, they already dumped the Armstrong USA based clicker torque wrenches for junky Chinese models. Wouldn't be surprised if the digital models are next to be discontinued/replaced.
