Re: 12 point flare nut wrenches...why?

If all the Matco 12 points were slipping, I'd send them in and ask them to send me back 6 points.

Re: Chrome peeling on snap-on screwdrivers. Anyone else seen this??

I've never had chrome peel on any of my Snap-on screwdrivers. I do have chrome peel on the tip of a 11/16 combination wrench, but it's a vintage wrench and cannot be replaced, so I'm keeping it.

Re: Desperately seeking lawn mower help

The Model and Type numbers will be on the engine itself - usually near the blower housing.

A common problem on small engines is that their carburetors get contaminated by foreign particles. Disassembly and reassembly of carburetors for the purpose of a thorough cleaning is a common...

Re: I'm done with #2 Phillips drivers.

I love the deep slots of Fillister head screws; they allow the Phillips tip to sink way down in; increasing contact. :)

Re: hassle with mac tools warranty

I'm actually quite surprised they didn't offer to send you a new box right away. Spot welds coming undone is usually an obvious manufacturing defect. You might have to go to small claims court.

Re: hassle with mac tools warranty

Did you save your receipts of the box and all the tools you've bought from MAC? The reason why I ask is because it might help you case if you have to go to small claims court. You're also gonna have...

Re: I'm done with #2 Phillips drivers.

You're gonna get metal transfer from the screw heads onto the Phillips tips over time. I take and clean my Phillips tips with a Dremel wire cup wheel when they get like that.

Re: "Mechanic's Time Savers"

Re: What's the best way to flush your coolant system
