Re: Advance Auto Parts - $50 off $125 coupon code

Deal appears to be dead. Put in an order using the code over the weekend with no problem, now it's just saying code "isn't available at this time".

Dammit, so many more parts to buy:mad::lol:

Re: big wrench brands

Shoot them an email before paying to request the actual shipping cost. They'll pack the hell out of a flat rate box and save you a LOT of money. (like $40+ shipping down to $11)

I used a mix of...

Re: What do you think about Gearwrench & SK tools?

Both are excellent and hold up great in a professional environment. I've been buying a lot more SK lately (and have plenty of Gearwrench). My only recommendation is to be aware of the Chinese made...

Re: Super deal on test lead kit

Finally bit the bullet and bought one. Already paid for itself after one use. My boss fell in love with it, so I'll be putting in another order for the shop.

Re: Otc hub grappler vs matco?

Matco relabels a LOT of OTC tools. It's up to you what the truck warranty is worth, but if you can mail it in (if you ever break it), it'd be worth paying almost 50% less than Matco wants for the...

Re: Where are Gearwrench wrenches made, specifically these two sets?

Yeah, the open end sets are china. Not bad quality compared to some of the China GW though.

I use an 87V, but just spotted a Matco branded 88 in the classifieds here, asking $300

Does this apply to 1/4" drive impact swivels, or 3/8" drive?

Re: Kobalt Tools

I've ended up with a good amount of the Danaher era Kobalt over the years thanks to Cripe Dist. Good USA made tools that are (for the most part) direct crossover to Armstrong (or Allen/Craftsman/KD...

Re: Anybody Use Husky?

Love my 3/8" & 1/2" torque wrenches (Matco/Armstrong/Gearwrench rebrands).

Husky is at least the equivalent of some of Matco's Silver Eagle stuff...:D

Re: Show your new tool arrivals

Every Matco and Snap-On truck I've been on (in 2 different states), the drivers have had Gearwrench sets "He got a deal on" and was flipping, so I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Armstrong if...

Re: Lowes kobalt customer service

That's very different from what I experienced. Walked right in with some old style Danaher era ratchets and traded them out for new fine tooth ratchets. No questions asked. That was a couple of...

All of those are minor variations of the same cheap 1 lung Chinese box store gensets, just with some different cosmetics.

They're also sold as Generac, Onan, Honeywell, etc. We seem to have one...

Re: Need a armstrong 10994 1/4 flex ratchet in 88 tooth

The Craftsman RPs are also the sloppiest 36 tooth design out there. My 24 tooth ancient Williams Superratchet is 10x better.

The current Williams USA 36 tooth ratchets (Snap-On guts) are insanely...

Re: Show your new tool arrivals

I have the same set, they fit great. Not as sharp of edges as my Bonney stuff, but yet to have them spread on me. They are from the Danaher era.
