Re: WiFi IN MY SHOP

I'm running a powerline ethernet connection to another office in my house since I needed a physical port for a VoIP phone. Works great. Could possibly be a solution for the OP if the garage is on...

Re: The Depressing Double Downsize

Felt this thread needed more pictures. Here is the small progress I've made on the sides. Paint cans are only there temporarily. Still need to get my leaf blower off the floor and we are getting a...

Re: The Depressing Double Downsize

The garage seems to be an afterthought for builders, but the vast majority of buyers really don't care about garages. I'm just thankful in my case the builder decided to inset the HVAC crap into a...

Re: The Depressing Double Downsize

Our dimensions look pretty similar although I wish I had that nook that you have up at the front.

Been slowly working on some organizing. Finally used the stuff I purchased mentioned in a...

Re: The Depressing Double Downsize

Unfortunately not. The garage is pretty much incorporated into the house. That door leads to the laundry room then into the kitchen. Behind the HVAC crap is my wife's office.

Fortunately for me...

Re: The Depressing Double Downsize

I'm going to look into that option. We use Massey for pest control and they offer lawn care as well. Completely off topic, but lawns are such a waste of resources in my opinion. They stuck up a...

Re: The Depressing Double Downsize

I was so tempted to pay a service to take care of the lawn since I know nothing about caring for a lawn other than mowing and edging. Need to read up on lawn care or something before I start getting...

Re: The Depressing Double Downsize

It is a 6' fence, but the top 2' is lattice so it doesn't completely block the view. It is possible I'm over thinking things since I probably caught a bit of the anti-HOA mindset from others. They...

Re: The Depressing Double Downsize

Lets try not to get into an HOA rant here, guys. ;)

taumac...those are the ones that are about 6' high and maybe 2' deep? We had one of those at a prior house and I agree it was excellent...

Re: The Depressing Double Downsize

I'm in Hunters Green. Fairly strict from what I was told but reading through the bylaws prior to purchase it looked pretty fair for the most part. I'm a little turned off by needing prior auth to...

Re: The Depressing Double Downsize

Did you build these cabinets or were they purchased? Would like to see more details on these if possible.

Shed or cabinets may not be out of the realm of possibility. We briefly touched base...

Re: The Depressing Double Downsize

Thanks for the feedback so far. Unfortunately no basement and I'm doubting I'll get authorization from the HOA for a shed. Attic is a decent size but nowhere close to what we had in our prior FL...

The Depressing Double Downsize

Posting this here to get ideas on dealing with small spaces and get some motivation to keep pressing forward.

Long story short...last week we officially sold our prior home with a 3 car...

Re: What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Moving preparation continues. Yesterday I spent another hour in the 120ish degree attic getting the remaining shit down. Not sure why we have enough holiday crap to fill a quarter of my third...

Re: GAS tankless water heaters

Found out today that there are various energy conservation rebates available for switching out gas appliances. I can get $550 for going to a tankless gas unit. Something worth looking into with...

Re: What did you do "IN" your garage today?

More organizing crap in preparation for move next month. Trying to get rid of the "I'll need this" mentality that has caused me to collect a mass of shit that I haven't touched/seen in 4-5 years.

Re: GAS tankless water heaters

Inspection was done yesterday. Asked the inspector about the gas line size coming into the garage and he confirmed it is the required 3/4"...so I have that going for me. Closing date is set for...

Thanks for the clarification. As I was reading through this thread I was thinking to myself, "Guess I need to use hot water next time I have to deal with some drywall repair at my house". :lol_hitti

Re: GAS tankless water heaters

We aren't going to go with the recirc. Is there any standard size for gas lines? House was built in the mid 90s and the water heater was replaced in 2011. Any chance it may already have the right...

Re: What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Organizing stuff. Moving in a month to a smaller garage and realized I have way too much crap for no apparent reason.

Re: Keeping Bugs/ Spiders Out of Garage?

Make sure garage door seals are in good shape (or install some if you have none) and use a perimeter spray as mentioned earlier. Won't eliminate but should help reduce especially with the seals...

This goes without saying. Everything else voiced here is when banging the significant other fails to resolve the issue.

Re: GAS tankless water heaters

I truly appreciate the information. Seems like Rinnai will be the winner based on what I have seen here and the overall positive reviews online. House is set to close on the 15th so this will be...
