Re: Bosch Multi Construction Innovation 5 pc. Drill Bit Set $10

Bah! After going through pages of rigamarole to purchase these, including an "available in 29-31 days" notice, the final page reads "The items requested below are not in stock." They can't get it in...

Bosch Multi Construction Innovation 5 pc. Drill Bit Set $10

EDIT: NO GOOD

I'm told these ring up at $10 if you load them into your cart. Are they any good? "Suitable for drilling tiles, masonry, wood, metal, and concrete." Say what?

Re: best work light?

For me, it's a light attached to my head...light's always pointed where I'm looking. This is a Zebralight with a 120 degree flood (ie, NOT directional. Not all LEDs are directional, as one poster...

Re: 100 Skil drill bits $10 @ Lowes

The deal is humbug. Not available in any nearby stores, and not available to be shipped. So, not available (to me at least).

Re: Fein MultiMaster as Mini Chop Saw? Possible?

Like this, RKA? Two 3-sided boxes, one inverted over the other, possibly clamped on the backside? (Didn't illustrate a miter here, just a flush cut.)

Re: Fein MultiMaster as Mini Chop Saw? Possible?

So, something more along the lines of a miter box? The miter box has the advantage of being space efficient and simple...but how to convert for use with the Fein?

Re: Fein MultiMaster as Mini Chop Saw? Possible?

My idea here seems excessively crude, but it's the first thing that occurred:

Seems cumbersome and probably...

Re: Bandsaw Questions

No, I don't think a variable-tooth will help much with thinwall...the larger teeth in the variable blade will still hang up in the thin material. You really do need to change to a fine tooth blade...

Re: Bolster's "Toolbox for Cleaning Stuff."

Here's the kit, so far. I count 14 chemicals + brushes, rags, sponges, gloves, etc.

At this point I'm using Boston Brown Bottles for their chemical resistance. THey're double-bucketed (a smaller...

Star Wars "Severed Wampa Arm" Ice Scraper.

On sale 20% "off," as in "hacked off with a light saber."

I KNOW you do not have one of these in your auto toolkit.

Re: Plano Stow Away 11 in. Stowaway Organizer (4-pk)

I find the locking tabs on the Harf boxes painful to operate. The Plano boxes open respectably with no pain.

My love is unrequited. Still OOS at my local store.

Stumped: Containers for Solvents?

I need to carry small amounts of solvents with me to jobsites. About 4 ounces would be good--lighter and safer than carrying a whole gallon or even a quart. I've never found acetone, lacquer thinner,...

Re: Plano Stow Away 11 in. Stowaway Organizer (4-pk)

Slightly OT to just shout out that I LOVE Plano boxes.

Out of stock at any nearby HDs for me.

I always mill out the rigid dividers that I don't want, to get custom boxes.

Soooo much better...

Re: Need Machinists input/guidance

I own this machine and it has done well by me, but you do need to set it up--it's a bit kit-like, not "ready to go out of the box."

There was a chorus of protest from my machine shop friends when...
