You learn a few tricks after breaking hardware when you are starting out. Pre-soak, give it a rap with a hammer, give up right away and use an air chisel, etc...

If you use enough Loctite, you can sign up for their class. Part of the takeaway is a three ring binder with all the datasheets and selection guides you can use.
