Re: Is this a Rotary lift?

You do know they have their china made revolution line, it could be available in black. Best way to find out is to look at the data plate and get the model and serial numbers and look them up or even...

Re: TV in Garage

I have a 32 LCD in the garage. I did not purchase it for the garage, but rather it was made available as a result of an upgrade of a TV in the house. It is about 6 or 7 years old now and it has...

Re: Rick's Audi Double

What is the color of your SQ5. I just picked one up this past weekend and the only blue they offer here in the US is the Sepang Blue, which I ended up getting. Your's looks a lot darker, unless that...

Re: 240 volt hookup question

That is not good enough, you will need a disconnect as previously indicated. I am not sure if a lockable breaker might meet that requirement, that you can lock out tag out.

Re: Increasing Ceiling Height

You could go with a commercial style rollup door rather than the traditional residential style sectional overhead door. They do make insulated versions of the rollup doors to solve your problem.

Re: Delivery of a 60 Gallon Compressor - HD, Lowe's, etc?

I just picked up a 80G Quincy compressor from a local retailer (not big box). I rented a small U-haul landscape trailer as it has a ramp. I also rented a pallet jack, total rental expense was about...

Good luck on the closing and build. I expect to see a build thread in the gallery.

Re: Liftmaster 8500 Power Outlet / Extension Cord?

I just redid my garage and had the 8500 plugged into an extension cord for a couple of months. I just finished installing the conduit and an outlet next to the opener. It worked just find with the...

Re: Selling a house with a 2-post lift

I just sold my old house a few months ago and I had a Mohawk System 1A. I specifically excluded it from the sale in the listing agreement, however, the new buyer was interested and we made a side...

Re: Preferred Fluorescent color?

5k is my preference as well. Since I also worked as a photographer, I became very used to the 5k color temp, anything else just seems off, either too yellow or too blue. But really, it is a personal...

Re: Mid-Century Moto Mecca Makeover

Hey I resemble that remark. It wasn't this thread that got me into Festool, but it was this thread that made me buy the Rotex 150 sander, after seeing how it cleaned up the painted ceiling. That...

Re: Mid-Century Moto Mecca Makeover

Love, Love, Love - the license plate on the third bike. Of course the build and the garage as well. Another fellow PDX'er here, actually just made the jump across the river, but still local.

Keep...

Re: What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Sprayed a total of 16 gal primer and paint in the 3 car garage. Glad to be done and breathing again. Even with masks on, I felt like I was going to pass out at time.

I love my Smith setup, not cheap, but decent US made quality. There is also Harris and Victor for decent sets.

Re: Changing 240v 20amp to 50amp for Welder

Use a volt meter, at the very minimum you should have one of these before doing any electrical work.

Close, what you probably need is an automotive/motorcycle battery and a trickle charger unless you plan on running the lights full time, then you need a real charger. Most power supplies that can...

Re: Structured wiring plan?

I think you have the right type of wiring. You could probably cut back on the coax to a single line (make sure you use RG6 (quad shield if possible)). If you ever wanted to run HDMI, that is possible...
