Re: Gearwrench.com Hot Deals

I missed that. So it's the updated version of the set I bought! Even better deal then.

Re: Gearwrench.com Hot Deals

Good deal. I bought that same set through Cripe for $23 a while back (They still have them).

Ratchet is a 60 tooth, and everything is made in Taiwan (at least the sets through Cripe are).

Re: Stubby ratchets 1/4 and 3/8

The 36 tooth Williams/Snap-On ratchets are surprisingly smooth, especially after the guts wear in. Brand new they can feel a little clunky, but still much smoother than any Craftsman RP.

Re: Stubby ratchets 1/4 and 3/8

My Gearwrench 3/8" stubby ratchet became obsolete when I built a Williams 3/8" drive 1/4" body.

Re: SK 1/4 drive Semi Deep Socket Set

Damn, was going to say it's a great deal to order the sets through Advance Auto with the coupon codes, but it looks like they aren't carrying the SAE set anymore (41880)... Bizarre.:headscrat

Re: No tool truck catalogs anymore?

You can also email Snap-On Industrial for a Williams/Bahco/CDI catalog and Apex for a Gearwrench (and other brands) catalog.

Re: Show your new tool arrivals

That may be an issue with the manufacturing since the third one in doesn't look to be rusting, at least from the picture.

I've had mine for years now, and not a spec of rust on any.

Re: Buying tools is rediculous, no?

Hookers and mechanics are the only jobs where you work on your back and get fucked by the hour. Only one has to go into debt on the tool truck...:D

Find your niche, and don't get good at what you...

Re: Post a picture of your ratchets!!

I never had any interest in one until I saw them on here. Recently picked up an SK bent handle, and have been putting it through its paces. Very happy with it so far.

Re: Show your new tool arrivals

That's the one thing that I don't like about Wiha drivers. I don't use my 1/2" nutdriver (and even the 7/16" is a PITA) and only use my Phillips #3 when I absolutely have to because of the stupid...

Re: Hose cutter

Exactly what I use and would recommend. Much cleaner cuts than sawing through with a razor blade.

Re: Show your new tool arrivals

Very cool that they're bringing more of the quality Matco/Armstrong designs over to the Gearwrench name now (especially these locking flex heads and the pinless impact swivels).

Re: Advance Auto Parts - $50 off $125 coupon code

Deal appears to be dead. Put in an order using the code over the weekend with no problem, now it's just saying code "isn't available at this time".

Dammit, so many more parts to buy:mad::lol:
