Re: Electrician quote... is this a good deal?

For the work, that could be good for your area, with permits and all.

A whole house, natural gas generator that transfers automatically at the service connection would cost in the~$4-7K range...

Re: Looking for free heat

I'd like to see where this goes. We get the same weather, and 55 in the winter would be just fine.

Re: Is this device safe for a 14 year old?

Re: Mog Cabin - 50x30 car condo

I like it!

Not being walking distance would take some getting used to(and finding the time to be away from the house). You can always start a business when you want.

Re: difference between pro quality and DIY type tools

There's no substitute for a good paint brush. Easier to use and does the job right. They don't even cost much, given that you can wash them out and re-use many times. The cheap ones fall apart and...

Re: Best tool to cut tile flooring in tight space

How old is the DW? If its over 8 years or so, maybe you should think about a new one right off.

If so, pull the rest of the valance off, and cut the bottom of the front frame with a saws-all....

Re: Best tool to cut tile flooring in tight space

My first thought was also to pull the counter top. If the workmanship is consistent you should only have two screws to pull.

I would have to fight the urge to take the cabinets out too and...

Re: Lil' help guys - 2003 Ford Explorer reman engine source

Check the value of the vehicle vs the engine. I know that some people like to stick with something that they know the history on, but I wouldn't expect much more that 5K for my 2006 Explorer.

Re: How to do clean install of antenna coax

I will add that I use my lathe much more than my mill for fixing and tinkering. ...
