Re: Let's see your toolbox.

I have been WELL overdue for an upgrade in storage. I had bought a HF 44" a year back, but I just couldn't get it organized right, and was in between jobs for a while so I sold it. Also sold my 4...

Re: Bigger Sized Gear Wrenches?

Only time I've needed to use a larger size was re-sealing a worm drive axle in an older Mack truck. One of the bolts on the top front of the axle was in too cramped of a space to get a ratchet in,...

Re: HELP Pricing tool boxes

Worth a shot posting where you are located. Might be able to get responses from members nearby to get an idea of what the market is like, or might even find someone interested in buying.

Re: HELP Pricing tool boxes

It's all regional, so you'll have to look around your local CL to see what the going rate is. In my area portable/top boxes are only going to pick up $10-50 max for each.

Re: Hex bits falling out of sockets (SK)

Smaller SK hex bit sockets have a tension ring in them to hold the bit in place (like the ring on an impact wrench).

The bits always have some wobble, and I'm not at all a fan of them, they are...

Re: M12 Impact Wrench.

At the bottom of the link in your original post, there is a link to the "Replacement Parts" PDF file, so you should have no problem getting what you need either through Milwaukee or another parts...

Re: M12 Impact Wrench.

Pretty sure the rubber is just sold along with the plastic body, not separately. If it works besides physically being beat up, you can get an M12 charger for pretty much the cost of shipping on...

Re: M12 Impact Wrench.

Pretty sure Milwaukee needs a proof of purchase for warranty. Haven't broken any of my M12/M18 tools yet, so not definite.

That 1/4" is a great tool, and probably my most used day to day. Well...

Re: The Truck Tool Equivalents Thread 2.0 - Expanded with Part Numbers

Big overhaul on Deadblow hammers as it was brought to my attention that Trusty cook is the OEM for Estwing which makes there a crossover for Trusty Cook, Estwing, Matco, Cornwell, Armstrong and...

Re: Show your new tool arrivals

That's exactly what I needed to know, since the Trusty Cook and Estwings seem identical, but didn't know if there was a connection there.

Re: Show your new tool arrivals

Right around the time they expanded from making tool boxes for MAC and just started stamping their name on everything.:D

I just bought that same 24oz hammer on Amazon after messing with a Snap-On...

Re: Show your new tool arrivals

Totally normal. They compress down after use, but are usually a pain in the ass new, especially with new impact sockets.

Also, those IR impact sockets will do you great. I've had a full set of...

Re: Manufacturer of this 3/8" Craftsman impact

Made in Japan. I had a MAC branded one. Very compact body, and only has a small single hammer design, so it works better for speeding bolts out than breakaway torque. Not a bad gun, I just sold...

Re: Official Epstein's Day 2015 Thread

I'm in. This will be the first year I've been financially able so participate. Finally order some SK 1/4 semi-deep sockets (since AAP no longer carries the SAE or the boxed set). Don't know if I...

Re: 3/8 drive head in 1/4 ratchet body

Re: Show your new tool arrivals

To second Strouty, it's a battery terminal puller. Works much better than beating the hell out of overtightened cables to get them loose.

:spit: Not a single word of that is true.
The USA Apex made torque wrenches have "Made in the USA" stamped right into the handle, exactly the same as the original Armstrong wrenches, and the...

Re: this a blue point tool cart?

Blue Point did sell a cart that is nearly identical to the HF 4 drawer, with a few bolt on mods and shocks instead of hinges. That key in the first and third pictures is a Blue Point key (I put a...

Hell, I still use my 30 tooth flex head Snappy way more than my 80 tooth.:D

Good find, especially for the price!

Re: Gearwrench.com Hot Deals

Good deal. I bought that same set through Cripe for $23 a while back (They still have them).

Ratchet is a 60 tooth, and everything is made in Taiwan (at least the sets through Cripe are).
