Fein Multimaster Start Q, $90 shipped

I have used this a couple times, and while I really like it, it just isn't the highest priority tool for me at this time, I have other things I need worse.

It's like new, and includes all original...

Snap On HBBD16 and HBFE32 Dead Blow Hammers

These two hammers are in like new condition, they are the red versions. Each has had VERY, VERY light use. I got a bunch of hammers in a tool lot, and while these are absolutely beautiful, I can't...

Re: Funny Craigslist Ad - Power Mallet

Could be for hammering down seams that have been adhered with contact adhesive.

Other than that, dunno.

Re: Any luck buying used air tools?

That is sage advice for used air tools.

On other tools, it may not be so much the same, but this is one case where that holds quite well.

Snap on TL72 and FL80

Both of these Dual 80 ratchets are in superb condition. They have some very, very light scuffs, mostly toolbox rash, as I never ever drag my tools across the floor without a plastic mat laid down....

Re: Drill Bit Sets ... anyone?

Be careful on the Hilti bits... it says they're split point, but the ones in the picture are most definitely not. If that's what that set is supposed to contain, there's some chance that it's just a...

Re: I think he's dreaming but what would you pay?

Same here... I see them listed in this area for $800-1000 all the time, and they seem to sell pretty fast.

This box retails for $2000, so if it is the new model (made in USA vs. Canada), then...

Re: Sears facebook

Not trying to be nitpicky, but the newer Chinese made Craftsman RP wrenches have been out more like months, not years.

Also, they had to significantly enlarge the open end head (presumably because...

Re: Sharpening small carbide bits

There are companies that specialize in resharpening for the circuit board industry, I'd look into that.

In fact, some of them perform an "exchange program", you can buy little flats of carbide...

Re: Don't throw out your old drill bits! Drill Doctor 750X is awesome!

I grudgingly must sign on to this.

I've been hand sharpening drills for many years, and I'm *very* good at it. Good enough that I'm "famous" for it at my company. That said, the drill doctor...

Re: Starter set of pliers

There are some quite superb quality american pliers other than channellock.

Wilde, for one. Then you have Swanstrom for precision cutters/pliers, Midwest shears/snips, Heritage/Klein scissors,...

Re: Bandsaw and VFD Help

I wouldn't go as far as to say it's a farce, because I've personally had instances where an inverter duty motor was required, but I will say that probably 99% of the time it's a waste of money.

Re: Harry Epstein Hammer Sale

I don't believe that. I'm not saying that you're being dishonest, but I don't think you're properly tuned in on the size of the packages that they're shipping.

They do offer USPS Priority for...

Re: Harry Epstein Hammer Sale

They don't charge "so much", they charge actual cost in my experience. Most other companies with cheaper shipping just pad their prices to cover it, fooling the customer into thinking they're getting...

Re: Hammertime at Epstein's: Help Me Out

I personally like a few sizes of ball pein, from small to large. Usually use them for small and large mechanical/repair projects. It sounds like you have that covered. :)

I like at least three...

Re: Wright VS SK Combination Wrenches

^^^This

I constantly see people bagging on Wright as if their modest length is a bad thing.

If the fastener is that hard to turn, I'm going to use a breaker bar or impact. I have had my extra...

Re: Wilde Wednesday: Supporting a USA Company With Good Values

From a production standpoint (I work in manufacturing) it's pretty common to overdrill holes to make sure that there is enough room.

For instance, we might spec blanks from a supplier, saying 12"...

Re: Punch-Drunk!!

Dasco seem to be pretty reasonable... the finish quality is a bit rough, but I feel the performance and price match fairly well.

Re: Punch-Drunk!!

You can snag some pretty crazy deals on Amazon for files... I got a Pferd (german made) 14" coarse half round for $2.38 w/free shipping. It can be pretty hard to get quality large files for cheap.

^^ No prob. :)

On the subject of Wilde Wednesday, I got the 5pc. Pin punch, and 5pc Chisel sets, and they're absolutely awesome. They cost about $12 each, and are worth EVERY penny....

Re: Wilde Wednesday: Supporting a USA Company With Good Values

It's a flathead screw starter.

You twist and lock it, then push the screw onto the tip, and it springs sideways and locks the screw on, so you can get it started in a tight spot.
