Re: Metric 12pt Socket Usefulness?

There's a reason I'm selling my 1/2" drive Metric 12 point Williams sockets. Bought years ago, and have never needed to use them.

Re: USA kobalt ratchet

Best chance is finding a rebuild kit for a standard Craftsman Raised Panel Ratchet, or trading the ratchet in for a fine tooth model at Lowes.

Re: Show your new tool arrivals

I'm not sure why, but I've been using more and more coarse tooth ratchets lately (when I do use them, versus just using the cordless impact). Love the smooth feel of my Williams ratchets over the...

Re: Selling gearwrench tools, how would you go about it?

Metric will always move faster on eBay than SAE, and mixed sets can bring down the overall value (or bring lots of low ball bids from the people looking for just Metric).

I've had good experiences...

Re: Show your new tool arrivals

I have those same sets of Williams. No regrets after selling my SAE Snap-On set that they replaced. Absolutely love them.

Re: 3/8 drive head in 1/4 ratchet body

Alright, took a good amount of pictures at work. These little 3/8" Williams are awesome, I've been using the hell out of them with my mid-length SK sockets....

Re: JH Williams USA Chrome sockets vs Snap-On chrome sockets

By page 2 this will be "My Snap-On dealer/rep said..." claiming that the Snap-On sockets get an extra coat of chrome or polishing (that and the stamp rolled in makes them cost 4x as much).

Then...

Re: Ratcheting screwdriver with zero wobble - suggestions?

My personal use has been with the Snap-On SSDMR4B (which the Williams WRS-1 should be the same mechanism), and a T-Handle Williams WRST1 (which is also sold as the Snap On SSDMRT1).

I just...

Let me know if you want to get rid of it. Been looking for a compact 1/4" box to throw my sockets into for road service.

Re: The Truck Tool Equivalents Thread 2.0 - Expanded with Part Numbers

It's not hard to do. Might be easier to go through the entire Lisle catalog and just match stuff up. Added the puller to the Matco section, thanks!

Most likely the same as sold by Blue Point,...

Re: Looking for a 1/4" impact socket set w/case

Same pieces, but not a direct re-badge. Larger sockets have the stepped part of the female end, the Gearwrench sockets are straight.

I have the big GW set, and it's my daily use set with my M12...

Re: Affordable made in U.S.A. metric hex bit socket set

Was just checking Cripe, since that's where I got my USA Kobalt/Armstrong mix in SAE and Metric. Looks like they're all out of those sets (it's been a few years), but I did come across a nice SAE...

Re: Snap-on OEX28B 7/8 Combination Wrench - $11.99

That is tempting... My mix and match old wrench set is old Craftsman and old Proto, with a no name Taiwan 7/8" and a Sears Japan 7/16". I already have a random 7/16" MAC, so I might just have to...

Re: Air ratchet or M12 Cordless?

After buying the M12, I sold my 3/8" air ratchet. It did nothing but take up space. I still have my mini 1/4" drive Cornwell, but I've used it maybe 3 times since the M12 moved in.

It's not much...

Keep us updated on if it works out. I'm curious if it comes up as something that more reps do, or if the guy at our school was doing him a kindness (or if he's the only one that asked about Williams...
