I bought a couple different version of these cheap LEDs.... they just don't put out enough light. I ended up going with the double T8 lights.... You just can't beat em for the money.

I have this one. I've done hundreds of fittings with it....no problems on any of them. Make sure you buy the fuck-up tool(easily snips them off) ...

chances of the fan,thermostat, AND thermal cutout failing at the same time are rather slim my friend. If you're worried just wire in another thermal cutout in series....problem solved :)
