Re: She wants to combine bank accounts?!

If you pool your funds, then anything you or she buys from this point forward will be considered joint ownership by the courts. Even your 401k will be suspect. I wouldn't do it. I know married...

Re: Looking at Mini-Splits

LG is cheaper.

Just make sure that whatever you buy comes with the stupid little certificate so you can get the government incentives. It has to be certified, but most of the big manufacturers...

Re: Audi RS6 Thoughts

You guys need to learn not to buy any car you can't fix yourself.

BMWs are cheaper to fix than fords and mazdas when you are doing the work yourself.

If you pay someone to fix your car, then...

Re: How many of you drive a foreign vehicle?

My point was that just about every part on my car was manufactured in the USA, so it seems very ironic that I have to wait for them to ship from Europe. :headscrat

Re: How many of you drive a foreign vehicle?

Most of your american cars are made in mexico or canada.

I have 4 BMWs all made in South Carolina.

The true irony is ordering parts and waiting a month for them to ship from Europe only to...

Re: Hurricane Sandy 2012

Don't get me wrong, I know how bad it is for anyone with flooding. I made it clear BEFORE the storm hit.

I agree that it will never be the same.

I agree that the devastation is massive and...

Re: Hurricane Sandy 2012

The water is like a slow moving shock wave. It just picks up bridges and tosses them around like they are made of styrofoam.

Here is a pic of the hwy 90 bridge.

Re: Hurricane Sandy 2012

I can't imagine how anyone can get into a pissing contest over HURRICANE Katrina vs a little storm surge in NYC. I feel really bad for everyone, and they don't realize that they aren't going to get...

Re: Can you recommend a GIANT TV?

Well, his Samsung is 3 months old and already broken.

Samsung came out and fixed it, but that makes me nervous.

Anyways, his is 3D and LED.

I am not a fan of 3D, so that doesn't really...

Re: Insulating the garage attic?

The garage is air conditioned. I don't use it very often, but there is an AC unit in the garage that I use now and then when doing garage projects.

Re: House temperature??

Well, its about 76 outside, so I guess that is the temp in my house.

I probably won't use my heater but ten days this year, and its finally nice enough outside I don't need the A/C.

In the...
