An 8274 is way, WAY faster then the typical 8K. Trust me when I say it is fast enough to pull start a 4.0 Jeep that's in 1st gear low range. BTDT :)

How much room is under the hood? A York A/C compressor will take up a LOT of space, but a rotary compressor isn't all that big. You can probably fab a bracket and whatnot in a couple of hours.

I'd say to call your local DMV and ask about the legalities of a gas to diesel swap first. It might be a painless swap, or it could be cost prohibitive.

A couple of years ago I was this >< close...
