I've been happy with my Bendpak mid-rise, but if your truck is a full size, forget about using a mid-rise with it. It would be fine with a small truck or cars.

I'll probably go with the IR, which is on sale this weekend for $550. Mainly because I can get parts for it locally, and if I use IR oil, they up the warranty to 2 years.

Just got a Tractor Supply flyer and they have the SS5L5 this weekend for $799. That's higher than I wanted to go, but awfully tempting.

There is no safety lock cable. You have to lift the lift a few inches above the safety and a dog falls back allowing you to lower the lift.

Bend Pak contacted me and is shipping a new lift my way. Last time I picked up at the terminal (an hour from my house). This time they are shipping to my door on a lift gate truck.
