My dad had a Yugo 45, right rusty old pile of **** it was too, unfortunately he bought it about three months before they bombed the factory. Bad timing and a vbery poor choice of car IMO! (especially as it replaced his 72 beetle)

I climbed into one at an auto show and immediately got out. The sales dude asked what was wrong so I told him, "I would never drive a car where the steering wheel is bigger than the tires."

But I have to admit, I did have ideas of stuffing a Hemi in one for the street!

I thought that a similar thread exists, but I'll bite and post a few. The majority are on my 7 car garage thread found in the signature line.

Love the Neon explosion, Lots of great looking garages. To much sanding and grinding in my garage, I would be dusting all the time. Makes me wish I could have two separate garages, one for show and one to work/play. Keep the picks coming.

That's whatI'm working towards....

Tho, JC has a good idea too...

e-tek,

You don't hasta to make the whole shop into a museum. You can do like a friend of mine with a pro shop who made a clean assembly area. He tiled the dloor, did up the walls and that's his 'show' area for customers and the working final assembly portion.

Work (shop) - though it's a little "showy" it's gets too dirty....

SHOP003-1.jpg

Show (garage) - I'll be painting the floor and moving the "better" stuff over...

Got a bunch of framed pics of my work for Xmas that will go in the garage:

Remember gas stations giving away banks....most were shaped as a small oil
can, but some companies got very creative.

This cabinet has some fatman banks

My grandfather ran a garage back in the 30's. Here is one of the globes that he used during that time.

I couldn't possibly disagree more with your opinion.

Not too much neon here but The clock started out as a blank swap meet special. My dad had a Shell station in the 50's so I took the clock apart and added the Shell decal. It even keeps perfect time! The next "neon" is just the flourescent light of my 58 Vendo 63. I love old stuff. The thrird shot is some of my diecast collection, nothing to brag about really but I do need something to collect the bondo dust!

Hey there tcianci,

I agree 100%, it's the collecting that makes each garage special to the owner.

Guys, I have more, hope nobody minds..this is a room in my basement

Nice jukebox. Is that a 222 seeburg, if so I am thinking maybe 1959 or 1960? Is that one with tubes or transistors? I don't remember offhand. I think there was a few with a mix of tubes and transistors, yech. Nothing like the sound of a old jukebox with glowing tubes. I will take a old tube jukebox over a boise stereo anyday.

After I got out of tech college 25 years ago my first paying job was on old amusement devices. I worked on old jukeboxes and video games. I don't think I worked on many pinball or skee ball machines. I had a chance to buy a bunch of the old chance and other games from the 30s years ago for 50 apiece. There were over 50 of them. I wish I had the money to buy them then in the 80s. I could sell them and retire now most bring really big bucks. When I was going to college I got a old jukebox from the 40s to redo in my spare time. I still have it and its a seeburg as well. They hold their value well. As far as your basement it looks good, straight out of the 50s.
