I don't have anything used I can help you with but that 2100 sounds like a good deal.

As far as hand helds both Yeasu (FT-250R, FT-270R) and Icom (IC-V80, IC-V82) make new 2M hand helds that are well under $200 (actually closer to $100). They are devoid of all the fancy features but are much easier to "pick up and go" when you need to.

I haven't tried them personally but have heard good reports and they sound ok on the air. You can own a dual band for the price of the Icom or Yeasu I mentioned above.

Best of luck with your shopping. I'd recommend dealers but most of them are excellent and I'd probably just leave some one out.
