Not a thing. My daughter is moving to Sweden tomorrow, so i've been spending time with her. I definitely have a list though.

Wow, how did you get it in there with the brake booster in place? I really loved my '72 and '78, but I gotta admit the new booster and heater box design for '79 and up made it easier to work on them.

Actually, it went in through the passenger door. The dash is out for repaint, so I didnt have to worry about scratching it.

I got the steel to make a mobile base for my bandsaw. Took a few measurements and drilled into the end of a bolt.

Finished re-assembling the carb off of my Polaris Sportsman 500 and installed it.
Started it up, took it for a ride, came back and hooked up the Warn snow blade.
Then sat around the wood stove and drank a beer ("Snow Day" by New Belgium Brewing out of Fort Collins, Colo.)

Worked on Christmas decorations

Today I worked on Christmas decorations in my back garage. My wife always wanted an arch over the driveway entrance with garland and icicle lights. I tried once using PVC pipe but it was too flimsy. I am using half inch conduit which is better but not rigid enough but with enough guy wires may make it. I don't have access to a set of rolls to run a larger pipe through, any suggestions. I told her it would be great is I used the half inch conduit and built a 3 pipe truss but she didn't like that idea. I only suggest!

Re: what did you do in your garage today?

Just did some basketball drills with my 10 year old daughter, as she has her first tournament of the year this weekend, and I will miss it as I'm traveling for work.

Of course, I first lined two of the drawers on my "new to me" RemLine top chest, and laid out my new set of Williams stubbies that I bought off the guy here on GJ (but from eBay).

Isn't life grand? :)

Re: what did you do in your garage today?

Nothing in my garage but I've been in is several other peoples today, it is Saturday here.

Towed my tandem trailer to one mates lock up to pick up his Isuzu Mu (Amigo) and took it to where he works, unloaded that and took him home to get his Isuzu Wizard (Rodeo), that I sold him about a year ago. He needs to take the engine out of the Mu and put it in the Wizard as the engine knocks and uses more oil than diesel!

Shoot home and picked up my Peugeot 206 and took it to the local garage to get a WOF (Warrent of Fitness = six monthly safety inspection). On the way home stopped at the Toybox, another mates workshop, and helped him shift some stuff, including the PTO winch that is going on the front on my Patrol eventually, off the floor onto shelves.

Home for lunch and some GJ and P4x4. Had an afternoon snooze for a couple of hours then back to the first mates work to see what was up with the engine, ended up loading the Mu back up and taking it back to his lockup.

Now, since I've just finished dinner I'm surfing several forums, drinking wine, watching Youtube videos and TV. I shouls be editing some video fromlast weekends 4wd trip but as I'm about to start the second bottle of wine I don't think it will get done tonight. :spit:

New shocks and rear brakes on my 3/4 ton silverado. I'm lucky at this point in life to have a lift to work on.

Re: what did you do in your garage today?

well, ill catch up for two days here.

last night i didn't get out of the garage till 10pm. i got my B10 Allis back together minus a few parts i had to pick up at work today. i was trying to find some stuff that i have no clue what i did with it but it will show up.

today, i got the gas tank it with the new shut off and gas cap, battery too.

battery $78
shut off $18
gas cap $17
total w/tax $120

hearing my Allis running again, priceless.

now it steers properly too! i had to rebuild the steering last winter and never finished putting things together over the summer.

now all i have to do is put the blower or plow on and mount the rear weight and im snow ready! wish i had a cab :(

Re: what did you do in your garage today?

Got he oil pan back on the tractor that went swimming during Tropical Storm Irene. I have been picking away at it for two months now, but the end is in sight.

I drained everything as soon as the water went down and I could get to it. Pulled the plugs and poured oil in the cylinders, turned the engine over to make sure it wouldn't seize. Then, dropped the pan, removed the starter, generator, carburetor, opened up the dash panel, and started cleaning. every opening was packed with silt, the bigger holes were stuffed with twigs, bits of grass, and cornstalks. I hope to get the fluids filled back up tomorrow and try to start it. After that I still need to repack the wheel bearings, and open up the steering gear and clean it out.

The radiator is over full, it's a non pressurized system and the cap let flood water in, it tests to 25 degrees, but I want to warm the engine up and get everything mixed, test it again before I just drain it. If there is only a couple quarts of flood water floating on top it may be OK.

Once I get this done I need to move in my plow truck and weld the frame, re-install the gas tanks and bed, and get ready to plow snow. Once that is done there is another flooded tractor to deal with, and one that just broke its crankshaft for no apparent reason.

Walked by my car and thought I need to get off my *** and get back to work...installing long tube stainless steel headers and new motor mounts. One motivator is, we cant get the Christmas decorations out of the attic cause the car is blocking the stairs from coming down. Changed out some dud bulbs to new Phillips 6500k t8 tubes, man those bulbs get with it!

Getting close to completion of my Manitowoc cff 90. I picked it up for $500.00 and will have about $300.00 into it in new cables and pads. Really looking forward to having lift in shop.. I think my friends are also excited.

Re: what did you do in your garage today?

Emptyed out a few drawers of the old dressers that I'm using in the garage. This is in order to begin turning the 2 dresser units into a large workbench / worktable. Really cold out though - around 38 degrees, so I had to dart back in the house every 1/2 hour or so.......

Been on it for a couple days now, a new holly carb and a msd ignition set up and dialed in to the best of my ability. The 428 has never ran so good. Would like to splurge and run it up to the dyno shop.
