"Late, but worth the wait!"

My SS package arrived today: and here is the obligatory "under tree" pic

The delay was with Fed Ex, and the mid-west weather, as it was in transit for at least 10 days!

Inside was an Indiana license plate, (very cool) and a reprint of a vintage/antique PEXTO catalog! :bounce:

Wait, Um, now I know all the stuff "PEXTO" I don't have.. :willy_nil

Also inside was a COOL "Fuller Utility" Claw hammer that I suspect is near 100 years old! The styling like nothing I have on both ends. the hammer face style I've seen, but don't own any examples of; Wait! - Now I do! :thumbup:

But the claw is really unique! I'll have to do some Homework on this one!

Also inside was a Barlow "Merry Christmas knife, and a nesting brass "GAM Mfg." screwdriver set, in great shape!

SS did a great job on my gifts!

Also boiler i recieved your SS gift but I had 2 other boxes of ratchets come in. I had them mixed up with the others but Im about 98% these are the ratchets you sent. Thanks for the great present I didnt have any cornwell ratchets yet ^_^

the way I look at it is the anticipation is extending the Christmas feeling for a few more days

. My recipient hasn't posted yet but then I was a bit late sending so he may not have recieved it yet :dunno:

Sorry it took me so long to post this. I did send a PM to my SS curbnaround to thank him and let him know I got it. He was very generous. I got 3 really nice fluid filled pressure gauges, big roll of duct tape, hand cleaner, and 3 Thread repair kits. I was probably one of the harder guys to buy for and he did really well. Thanks again curbnaround and thanks to everyone who put this together.

I returned from Cuba yesterday and found the pick-up notice in my mailbox. Looks like my SS really put some thought into it. Rivers1 sent me a set of leatherman style ps multi tools, a neat aluminum flex and telescopic flashlight and my favourite item was a yukon gear travel hammock for my on/off road expeditions. The fiancee and I are taking the dog, packing the truck and driving to Alaska this summer so I'm sure we'll get use out of all of it!

Sorry for the delayed response, but it's here now!
Thanks for the awesome gift from my SS!!! I lost the retur addres/name, and the screen name wasn't inside the package, so I don't remember who it was!

This is a "build your own knife kit". It started out as a sweet old buck knife, and then the handle was removed, and sent with Fiberglass board, Blood wood, Zebra wood, and another wood my SS "couldn't pronounce", that I belivev to be bubinga curly wood. Also in the package was the epoxy needed, ad well as detailed instructions and a great diagram! My SS couldn't have done better! I have been wanting to try my hand at building a knife, and this will be an awesome start! I'm sure I will have many nights sitting in the living room by the wood stove carving my handle to perfection.

GLAD you can put them to use, those were the thoughts I thought when you posted you were working on an offroad vehicle. That flashlight is one that comes in real handy in a pinch. Every offroad vehicle also needs a hammock and multitools.

My present arrived monday and is pretty SWEET. My SS sent a SK 1/4 inch drive metric set which will go perfectly with my SS gift from last year, a 1/4 inch drive SAE set. Iit is also my first SK tools :thumbup:

I had a great time giving and receiving SS gifts this year and can't wait til next year

A big thank you to caper150. For the record I am sure his gift would have been delivered prior to the 25th but I was out of town and my mail was held. I picked up my mail after work today from the post office and what an awesome SS gift. A custom made personalized garage sign focusing around IH tractors ( completely awesome research considering my low post count.) Additionally my 1st set of felo screwdrivers and a set of gearwrenches. I will post pictures as soon as I figure it out.

Thanks again to caper and everyone else for allowing me to participate, and setting this up, I can't wait for next year,

That said, I have delivery confirmation on the gift I sent out on , I see my SS recipient has been online, and hasn't posted in this thread. Should I pm them to make sure it was received properly?

My SS was from the east coast so I understand the delay....The tree is gone but here's what i got. A pair of Wiss up-right snips, very cool didn't have any of those....a leather holster, a craftsman nut driver handle, a Williams 3/8 ratchet, that feels great in your hand!, plus a 1/2 drive set of vintage Indestro sockets! He didn't send his GJ user name but thank you, good job SS....

My secret santa gift arrived today, and i couldn't have been more pleased. I received a couple of pairs of Vise grips, and a Klein 11 in 1 screwdriver. I especially like the Klein screwdriver, as it is something that i couldn't hope to find in England. My secret santa was cundifc, and i would like to thank him for the thoughtful gift.
I will post some pics, once i get to grips with my new camera.

Evan I'm glad you liked everything. I have a set of the Felo screwdrivers snd love them. When I saw you would like some german tools I knew exactly what to get. Also theres nothing better than a nice custom sign for the shop.

So so so... I arrived home yesterday from my trip to Europe. Sadly, my package arrived a day after I left, so with I want to apologize to my Santa for posting this so late.

With awe, I must say that this is the best Christmas gift I have received this year! It is exactly what I wanted - something hand made, unique, and one-of-a-kind item! I was very excited to find out that my Santa was from overseas - this almost guaranteed a gift that I would unlikely be able to buy here.
