Thought it was funny a few days ago when a buddy of mine posted a pic of Kevin's bathrroom on his Facebook page. He was commenting about what a cool bathroom. So I had to post a link to this thread so he could see the rest of this awesome place.

Had a similar thing happen. He'd a friend who posted a pic asking if anyone had a line on magazine racks like the ones in the bathroom. He had no idea what the rest of the shop looked like. The ink to this thread gave him something to think about. And this is a guy who runs a private motorcycle collection / museum.

Dan in Pasadena.... Cobwebs are not a problem. When I see them I just brush them away.

A friend recently hooked me up with a couple of great freebies. A disc sander (18") and a transmission jack. Sander needs a minor repair then I will paint it and post another pic.

They will be back soon, I just need to update my Photobucket account. Wish I could switch, the new Photobucket is horrible to use. It takes forever to locate pics now.

"gee our website is a big hit we need to update it to make it more friendly with social media!" Not a big fan of the new photobucket. I am a big fan of Kev's setup there though!

I stopped using photophukit many years ago since it takes forever to load something on it. It just isn't worth my time to resize ect. I load directly to the board so there's always a record and a pic, even if it's something you've got to click on to enlarge.;)

I started using it because I didn't need to re size anything and it was never slow for me to load anything. We may have been using it differently. I would like to switch but if I do I will lose all my threads here and on the H.A.M.B. I have a lot on the H.A.M.B. that I would like to see stay in the archives.

Not to hijack Kev's thread but what site is a good substitute for PB? If enough people bail maybe they'll fix it....or maybe we won't care anymore until the new site we all go to "enhances" theirs!

Looks like Photobucket has gone back to numbered pages which make me happy.

I put up some Christmas lights. Not sure if they will stay or not.......

Kev, The pickup looks great. It's hard to believe that it started out as a pile of rusted metal. If you find the time could tell more about how you made the redwood trim on your garage? Looks like it must have been a lot of work. Thanks for taking the time to share all of your wonderful projects. Brian

PLOWJEEP....The redwood trim was pretty simple. The straight parts need no explanation. For the curved parts I started with 6x1 ? pieces of redwood. I made cardboard templates for the curved pieces I needed and cut them out of the redwood boards on the band saw (jig saw would work). They wanted to split if I just drove a nail into them so I drilled holes where the nails went. They have moved, twisted etc with the rain etc and don't look as good as the first day but since I'm going for a rustic look I'll just leave them be.

Hi Kev, I practically live on the HAMB and follow most of your input to everybody. I often wondered about how you gained so much knowledge and understanding of the rodding world... Now I know!.. hard for an old Aussie codger to bow in reverence to a ****** expat Kiwi, but man, I got to hand it to you, you deserve every allocade that you get. I do not know what it is about NZ, but boy, do they turn out some world beating craftsmen!

shedbilt49......thanks for the complement but I know what a real craftsman is. Most of the stuff I do is pretty basic. Here are a few more pics of the PU before it left.

Kev, DON'T discredit yourself man! I've followed your stuff for as long as you've been on the HAMB (well, you signed up a few months before me - I had to check). Take the compliment, hombre. You may not think you deserve it (I respect that) but what you do is very cool/exciting/inspiring to others.

Rant over! :D

PS, splicing the Model 40 or the Willys together is far from basic. Just ask me, I'm working my way up to basic. :D

the place you have decorated with so much perfection that it has now been transformed into a picnic spot more than a car shop ... yet people will enjoy the joy of both the advantages there
