I stopped today at one of the work shoe places my company allows me to go. They pay for my boots every 18 months up to $150. There was a redwing sign under their main sign so I went to this place this time. The other place has very few made in USA boots. Well this place only had a few more options and no red wings in sight. I wanted a new pair of the red wings I have been wearing for 3 years because I didn't like the wolverines I got last time.

I picked out some thorogood brand boots made in USA, union made too. As a union employee that makes a decent living I try to buy union when possible. These are the only boots I have ever bought that didn't need broken in. Very comfortable and appear to be very well made. I really like them, as a guy who has had a share of foot problems comfortable boots are critical.

I wanted to update after a year of use and they are still comfortable. I finally wore out the strings. Probably burnt up from welding. I contacted weinbrennerusa who i guess is the parent company of Thorogood and asked for a new set of strings and they said they would mail me out a new set that day.
