Thanks, Jorge. Great solution. Are the red pieces on the right wall power outlets? Brian

Yes Brian. 3 phases power outlets for better distribution of power charges. Most of the machines will be 3 phases. The 1 phase power outlets are the White one.

Looks great! What air system is that?

A 7.5 hp air compressor with a 290 liters air deposit and a air dryer. All split set up with bery low db. Very powerful but very quiet.

The air compressor brand is GNUTTI. Very good italian brand.

Thanks Dubber. Those pics are not forgotten. Just need a break to do them.

Anyway here goes a pic of my air system:

7.5 hp Gnutti air compressor
290 l air deposit with auto drainer
Air dryer for the all system.

This wil provide me air on the garage, dirt room and atelier. Dry air for painting and other tasks and oiled air for the air tools...

Wow, Jorge . . . . that's an AWESOME air compressor setup!!

Tell us more about the Gnutti air compressor . . . . ROTARY VANE !!

Is that similar function as Rotary Screw??
What does that sell for in Brittain??
What is CFM (cubic feet per minute) output of the compressor??
So your air tank is 290 ltr or approx 77 gallons . . . nice!

Very impressive . . . . tell us more!! Keep pics coming!!

The Gnutti air compressor do at 8 Bar - 28 CFM, at 10 Bar - 23 CFM and at even 12 Bar - 18 CFM.

Enought to the Sand blast machine I will use.

Usually i work with a set up between 6.5 - 8 Bar. But i can set up a diferent range of pressure.

Later I' detail better the compressor...

Thanks guys!

After a a week in Rome to recharge batteries, back to the GJ.

This week my Sandblast machine was delivered. It haven't started yet, but here goes some pics with phone quality...

Here you can see what's for the sliding stair...:rocker:

A global view with the complete air setup.
The casters were replaced later. This one were only for 50Kg and the all machine with the cyclone and the vacuum cleaner, weights 285 Kg.
I´ll post later the pics with the new casters. Eight casters of 150 Kg each (4 for the cabinet and 4 for the vacuum. The cyclone is fixed to the cabinet).
This way i can move the complete machine the way i need it very very easily.

Inside the cabinet. The sandblast gun to mix air and the abrasive, the clean air gun (the yellow one). All walls of the cabinet were covered with rubber to reduce noise...

A picture of my garage taken by a friend of mine. He almost discolored the photo with his "artistic" view of the pic but i like it...

Today I bought some stuff to make my cars bright the most as possible:

3M orbital sander air tool...

Bosch polishing electric machine

All the stuff like sand disks, buffers, foam pads, small repair kit, all type of polishing liquids...Almost of all products from 3M

Of course that my SwissWax products will always be applied for the final "touch". ;)

To make a paint real shinny takes lots of procedures and time. Let's see if goes well for me.

While i can't decide the layout of the Lista cabinets to instal on the workshop, I started to assemble one of my lathes. It's a SouthBend lathe... at least after assembled will be. The bed it's already on place.

Probably my next acquisition. A friend of mine is selling this perfectly done nut and bolt old restoration. Its a 1956 Triumph TR3 english green with the right patina and only 3000 Km after restoration (about 20 years ago).

I love English cars and probably can't resist to this one. It would be nice parked next to my "Powder Blue" 1963 TR4. Let's see..

What do you think?

love your shop! nicely done. now you need some eames style chairs in the upper part. the alfa is the best i think. drove/rode in one just like that on a VERY fast trip from denver to dallas in the mid seventies. rarely below 100 mph on the big roads.:3gears:;)

I'm curious about those lights in the garage... are they fluorescent tubes??

YES. They are fluorescent tubes with 2 lamps inside to make 360º light. The tube is about 1,80m plus the support makes the total length of the light with more than 2,50m.
They were custom made for the garage. An stainless still support with a 20º curvature that fix in the wall and the fluorescent tube.

I love them...

Hi Jim. Thanks for the words.

About the eames style, you read my mind for sure. Anyway, i have several ideas for the upper floor. It has 2 rooms. One open to the garage like a balcony and one closed with glass like you can see on the picture above. On the closed part i intend to do an atelier for modeler jobs and other kind of small cleaner works.

But i love eames style and already have some original pieces, like this chair and ottoman that i have on my classic car library, that is very close to the garage.
