Have been holding out on you guys. This year has proven to be very kind to me vise-wise. Feb, Mar and now April. My haul today was three, two Wiltons and a Rock Island. At least I think there are two Wiltons.

The first Wilton was an Estate Sale purchase, $40.00 - a bit on the high side, but it is the first Wilton on this style that I have run into.

On the way home stopped at the junkyard to drop off some cans. My dog needed to water the plants and the yardmaster showed me where to take Max. While waiting for him I spotted and old jack and went over to check it out. Lo and behold, there was an exposed screw Rock Island in a puddle. Now my nose was on the ground. Routed around a bit and found what I believe is a Wilton in another puddle. Damn, where is the camera when you need it?

Check out the finds. Need to do some research to figure out exactly what I have. The junkyard Wilton will be a real challenge. Nothing moves.

Got lots more images to post including a Wilton "Juno" clamp-on vise.

Geeze, the vise photos are almost streaming now.
Blane..I'm a big fan of the Naked Look..That one is money in the bank.

Bigcaddy!.. That swivelback is a Wilton collector's dream and your Craftsman is beyond awesome! You certainly have a wonderful collection. You continue to give me vise candy treats almost weekly..I love em!

Picked this one up last week off of Craig's List. It was covered in about a quarter inch of house paint. The jaws are a little out of line for some reason, the action is super nice on it though. I decided to leave this one unfinished and put a few coats of gloss clear enamel on it.

.

Nice!

I had some time today after work to finally assemble a couple of vises that have been sitting around for some time now.

The first is my Wilton 450SJ. I almost had is complete last weekend but i forgot the replacement screws, collar, jaw inserts and collar screws.

The rear cap was missing so it was replaced with a Ford front wheel hub dust cover. It fits perfectly and almost looks original. If i gave it some more time, it would of been impossible to tell

The paint is boring Machine Grey but that was close to the original color and i think it looks good.

Thanks for the finger savers, Autopts

That thing is a beast! Pretty nice looking too!

Does anybody on here live in Mass or at least near the Cape? I've been checking CL and there are a ton of killer vises on there for great prices.

I've seen a number of Reed, Starretts, Athols, some Prentiss/Monarch and a Wilton 2" Baby Bullet w/ a PowerArm, near mint that sold for 20.00:shocking:

If there is anything there in June/July, i might have to pick it up myself.:bounce:

There are a ton of old run-down workshops/sheds in the area we stay at on vacation. I'm tempted to ask some people to look around but have no way of packing or shipping large heavy items home.

I do think i'm the only person in the world that actually packs a tape gun in my luggage so i can tape up flat rate boxes and send things to myself in CA:beer:

EBay find...

5' x 13' steel layout table, with a monster Starrett vise attached...

As I am uninformed about things like this, I have no idea what this setup would be worth, but one of you would know...$2,950.00 :shocking::shocking:

That's a HUGE vise. Maybe that guy will split it from the table for you. Can't hurt to ask!

Just finished this fun little project. Found this beat up Wilton Shop King and immediately knew what it need. The vise screams 50's styling. Got it cleaned up and threw some era appropriate paint on it.

I got this out of my grandfathers old shop. I don't have a clue on age. Anyone have a guess?

The Diamond shaped badge on the outer jaw says LITTCO

Says on the side:

Littlestown
HDWE & FDRY CO
Littlestown PA

Found this one on my local CL. I've never seen one like it. Asking $75. Not sure what I'd do with it but I like it.

I haven't run into many decent vises here in a good while. Most are pretty well abused, but I did score a couple this past weekend. These photos were taken just after I got them home (some sawdust and shop grime still on them).

I finally brought home my first Prentiss (354-1/2). Has both pipe jaws and is very toothy.

The following Parker 205 lock bolt pictures were requested by PECVD2. I don't know how to attach them to PMs. I've always said that I'm a better mechanic than computer guy. Sorry for any inconvenience.

BTW: if anyone can give me some guidance on attaching pictures on PM's, I would appreciate it.

Anyone have a pair of Wilton 3/8-16 hexagonal old school t-handles? I'm looking to buy a pair. Steel or brass is fine.
