In the near future I hope to get the hf floor model blast cabinet. One way or another, I will be putting it on wheels so i can roll it outside to use it. I'm not clear on how sturdy these are. I also don't have a welder so I will have to track someone down to weld feet on the legs.

I'm leaning towards a full platform/roller base so i can get some storage under there, even if it's not much. Metal feet bolted to plywood and 2x4?? Would love to see pics and hear advice if anyone has already done something similar...

I picked up one of those about a month ago with a 20% coupon while it was on sale. I also bought 4 medium duty casters while I was there to make it mobile.
I stripped a couple inches of paint off the bottom of each leg and welded a 3/16" pad on to accept the casters. I found Rustoleum Gloss Cherry is a close match to HF red for the welded legs. I followed others advice and used silicon sealer during assy and I have not found any leaks yet. I tested with my shop vac attached via a 16oz Miller lite aluminum can mouth cut off and hose clamped to the vac port. My vac hose just slipped on tight and it worked great, those gloves looked to be on ****** in that cabinet:) I since bought a cheap ($30) vac at Wal Mart to dedicate to the cabinet, in pix. I also bought the TP Tools siphon/gun upgrade and it does indeed function better than the HF unit. The HF hose from the siphon tube to the gun inlet was kinked in the delivery box and wouldn't stay open during opr'n. Not my cabinet is next to the garage side door so I can easily roll it outside, however so far I've just used where it is.As someone here or another forum suggested keep a small 2-3" paint brush inside to brush the grit away from the side access door before you open it.

I am in the process of adding a frame to mine. I cut some 1/8" thick 2" angle that should be plenty strong along with 4 pivoting and locking 3" casters. Just need to weld it up and bolt the cabinet to it, will get some pictures when I do.

Don't know how much this funky pic will help but it's all I've got. I just made a cheapie 2x4 frame, mounted a shelf about halfway down to set some jackstands on and just a plywood shelf to set the bead blaster on. Bolted some casters I had laying around to the bottom to make it mobile. Works pretty well!

I've got the same unit, but the gloves rotted out and I haven't found any replacements that fit. So far I've just used external sand blasting gloves and left the remains inside, but cut them off at the wrists. I slip the new gloves on my hands, then put them in through those 'gaskets'. They seal well enough for blasting and I don't have to open the side door for smaller items- I just pull my glove out, grab the item and put it in the cabinet.

It doesn't pick up media well though, and I want to get the bigger cabinet. I've seen the threads here about converting them to pressure blasters instead which seem much more effective.
