From personal experience, it's a very solid, smooth ratchet. It is less bulky (or more compact) than 'older' 916 but not as small as 916K. I will try to get some pics for you today to show the differences between all three.

Hazet offer the same design 1/4" ratchet (p/n 863-1) so might be worth ordering a pair while you're at it.

Monte made a video of 916-1 a while back.

had the 3/8" version. Never ultimately used it really. Extremely smooth but as with most round heads its on the thick side.

I love this ratchet also, own the 863-1 1/4" version as well. I heard that a 3/8" version was to be produced. What the hell happened to this Idea?:mad:
Somebody enlighten me...

It has been over a year and still no 3/8" ratchet.:dunno:
