They are getting rid of a gigantic Starrett 626 vise. Flat jaws (only) are a bit worn, but otherwise it is in great shape. They are offering it to employees with the proceeds to go to the company's community involvements group (charity).
What would you bid? I don't need it, and I just bought a decent Wilton from MSC that is new in a box awaiting my garage to be built, but it is just too cool to not make a bid. I think it would be great to have.
Some people think $100 may take it. It may be huge enough to not have any serious takers. It's just too big and bulky. What do you think I should bid? I don't mind going a bit high given the cause the money it will go to.
Then again, it's obsolete so spare parts are hard to come by and pricey, it would seem.
