Hi. I've sort of fell for the Leinen vise. I've tried emailing the company that makes them and received no response. I've searched on ebay.de for "leinen schraubstock," but the germans don't want to ship outside of Germany, usually. I've googled and found them here: http://www.mercateo.com/p/245-51035140/LEINEN_Parallel_Schraubstock_100_mm_Farbe_gruen.html but I'm unsure if they sell to consumers or just businesses. Amazon.de has some, I haven't investigated further.

So, before I dive deeper, does anybody have any ideas on a simple way to buy one of these things?

Looks like a nice-enough vise. What about it, other than having one nobody else has, makes it worth all the expense and effort?

If you listen to this video it will show you how

Damn, thx buddy! Off to the Glockenspiel Beer Hall I go! "Hello Fräulein, I love you! Please, bring me a Leinen vise when you come back from your German holiday!"

Jack, I dunno, I just like German stuff. I'm 50% German-Russian, with 25% English and 25% French, so the German side wins. I've got a Reed and a Wilton, neither swivel, and the Leinen's look cool, esp with that swivel attachment with the lever.

I assume you are familiar with Riged forged steel German vises? You might try asking an individual in Germany to get one for you, but if they biught new locally, they would have to pay a 19% VAT.
