Note: If you're not into vintage tools then this thread isn't for you.

I have been obsessed lately buying vintage tools. I'm in the process of putting together a dedicated tool box full of vintage tools. I just find it really cool to use a tool that has so much history.

Anyone only use vintage tools or have a dedicated vintage tool set? What did you do with them today?

I still use my Plomb 1/2" breaker bar daily trying to break loose overtightened oil pan drain plugs in big Cummins and CAT engines.

Oldest tool I used this weekend was some cone pliers...nothing to write this forum about, but I do have a good story for guys who like old tools. I was buying some loose large wrenches off a guy this weekend, filling in a few gaps in my Proto set. He said, 'I'll give you this one for 10 bucks, it's a no-name'. I turned it over and it was a Plomb. 1 7/16. Biggest one I've ever seen. Snatched her right up. Thought you guys could appreciate.

I use my vintage tools in fact the majority of my 1/4 drive set is a matching vintage set of SAE snap on sockets in shallow deep and universals. But I keep my blackhawk free wheels to look at and play with :).

Used some of my vintage Wright stuff to fix a shed door on Sunday! Not much else around here needs fixin' at this time however. No projects planned either.

Sort of vintage (78-82) Magnum Hole Shooter was putting spax screws into 2x6 pine.
Later on my 70's Craftsman jig saw will be cutting up some 2x4s.
