Lots of great cars and trucks in this thread!
![]() Here's a bone stock original motor 4speed 6bbl road runner that will be getting a 505cu inch stroked 440 with ported aluminum heads and a comp XS290s solid lifter cam. Everyone seems to be taking these cars back to original but I've had this thing for 6 years(and a number of different 69 GTOs for over 20 years) and have never had anything but a stock motor. It'll probably make 525-550hp and 600lb/ft torque. One engine builder says if I keep the redline bias ply tires that if I punch it in 3rd or even 4th gear at 55 to watch for the ass end coming around

I think trucks count...
Super Mods include: spring over axle, 35" tires, ARB air lockers (front and rear) with 2.5 gal onboard air, heated seats, powersteering, headers, MSD ignition, modified tranny, 4:1 transfer case= 81:1 crawl ratio, dual batteries, and onboard shower/hot water. |

![]() ![]() I'm guessing you're making it a direct bolt-in. Might as well save the original motor! Hopefully the rear doesn't come around and you wreck the car...

Maybe not "super modified", it's still a work in progress. My '69 Chevelle SS396 - 375hp solid lifter, bench 4 speed. It is a numbers matching car, but it has a few upgrades to suit me.
I should say that aside from designing models, I also work PT at S&W Race Cars. Feel free to PM me if you need anything. If I can get a good GJ response, I may be able to work out a group deal or something with the sales manager. Last edited by Speed Shop; 12-09-2008 at 06:38 PM. Reason: spelling |

Wonderful cars! It's refreshing to see so many different cars and noone being cruel to one another! Beautiful !
Well here's mine, one anyways... ![]() Looks like an innocent Nissan Maxima Drop in a 5 spd, a mildy built VQ35DE, and you have yourself a runner it's not the fastest, or the most powerful, just a fun street car. I hit the time in my sig with a slipping clutch and street tires, so hopefully after this winter when I put a better clutch in it and some slicks I can improve on that. Goal is mid 12's naturally aspirated. Wish me luck next year ![]()

That is the norm on this board. People disagree about stuff but don't resort to name calling or personal attacks.
