Is the only difference the external grating material around the coil?

This is the leader in our shopping and will be replacing a fairly old unit.


Is the Honeywell 8000 wi-fi a solid choice in t-stats?

And should I beat up the price at all by offering to pay cash?

Sorry - I just saw this post.

There is also a difference in the condenser fan - the XL13c is quieter. The warranty is longer on the XL13c as well.

One of the subsequent quotes I got involved some more detail from the salesman regarding the 2-blade "state of the art" fan in the XL.

Not that we'll have hail like 2010 again anytime soon, but I'm opting for the steel of the XB over the polymer of the XL that had confirmed breakage. Besides, the sun here eats plastics of many kinds alive and without prejudice.

Install starts Thursday. :)
