The slab is 36x40 and the room upstairs is 12x40. Total is about 1940 sq ft. The guys at work think I am nuts since the house is only about 1100 sq ft.

My wife is lhao at that, and says thanks. The shape was her idea, she found a picture of an old barn somewhere and said that is what she wanted it to look like. I could do what ever I wanted inisde as long as the outside looked old and like that.
Great to have a wife like that ain't it. No, she has no sisters and you can't have her.

Heck, I'm always telling my wife that when we move, we will look for a large garage with a small attached house! :bounce:

I can see why your wife wanted the outside to look like it does...it's sweet! Please post some more pics that show your progress.

I like the size and style. My BOSS likes it because it looks like a horse barn, she said she wants a stall for her Mustang. What is going to be your shop layout?
I am currently in Afghanistan and to help pass the time I have started drawing up my dream shop.

Progress photo please.

Here are the latest and greatest of the shop. I have stopped working on it for a while now 4 months to be exact till I get back from Kuwait. How long have you been in Afghan. I was there last year in Kandahar this same time of year actually.

Left family last Sep, got here in Jan, SHOULD be out of here in Sep 06. I am from Cullman, Ala.

New Shop + Kuwait + 4 months = Air Guard?
Being deployed has a way of keeping projects on hold.

Looks good. Like the style. Thanks for reposting photos.

I am a contractor for General Dynamics. Yes it puts a serious damper on the projects. One good thing though I know have the time to research all the projects and plans I have to work on when I get home.

It is a vicious circle come over here to make money for projects you can't work on because you are over here making the money for them.

Keep your head down and stay safe over in Afghan, I know some of what you are going through and you have my prayers.
