It is loaded with lead and it don't bounce, or damage what it hits...
On the hammer you posted about, is it dead blow? I mean, is it full of lead shot, or something like that that moves inside it?
Dead blow hammers have mass inside that shifts, then bounces when you hit something, so the hammer body doesn't bounce.

From the pic it looks like the one I have that is not dead blow, but solid in the middle.

Dead blow in that configuration sounds useful.
I'll ask at the paint/body store Saturday when I finish putting in their network, about dead blows with removable soft ends.
Heck, might take one in partial trade for the work.
