I'm just sitting here dumfounded at this "garage". I think that is the coolest thing I've ever seen. Definitely worthy of my first post...maybe even worthy of my last!

Dang long thread and the project deserves every post. Love it. But.....is there a start to finish thread available or just the pics? I short-circuited my laptop from drooling.

Utah997, I just found your build - absolutely amazing. Beautiful attention to detail, really really excellent work. The sliding bookcase is sweet too, I've always wanted one. I wish you hadn't removed all the posts earlier in the thread, but I understand the concern for privacy and more so security. Thank you for posting what you did, your garage/bunker is truly amazing.

Simply fantastic build!!! I know all these comments are probably getting old, but you've done something here that every man-child dreams of doing.. Couldn't picture a more perfect build if I tried... You better be damned proud of your garage there buddy! :)

You have definitely secured your spot as the :pimpflash of this forum!

On a side note: Love the cars too! All great choices!

Have you totalled the overall cost yet?

I'm scared.

I'm guesstimating if you include *everything* including finishing the theater, gym etc, etc... down to the bookcase. Prolly in the $400k range. <cringe>

Just realized I hadn't updated you guys with the theater pics. A few of you have asked for them.. here you go.

(please keep in mind this is 100% done yet, still need sconces on the walls, and where the mini fridge is, I will be building a candy counter etc.. we also still have some additional sound paneling to put up eventually)

Going on a year+ now... got into it w/ Jersey Jay and he banned me, then I got it reduced to a 1 week vacation. But after that I was on the shitlist. Then I posted a link to a pron site on one of my own threads in OT as a joke. I got a few PMs instantly to remove the link as the mods would go nuts. Well before I could click edit the post was edited for me and I got perma-banned. I finally begged my way back on in early 2009 via Savewave so I could sell a few cars and lots of parts... he told me I could only post in the F/S section. Well slowly I started posting outside of it and they said/did nothing. 8 months later I go to log in and find that I'm re perma-banned. Now Jim (savewave) won't return my emails.

Oh well :headscrat

You should start a "Free Cobra4B" thread for me ;) I just bought a "new" 2003 vert and have a 2001 targa Z06 to sell. CF comes in mighty handy for buying/selling!

Nicola and I read through this thread again last night, and just want to say, what an awesome awesome way to use space, and create space.

She has already told me that when we move to the next house I am not to start digging ..... :bounce:

absolutely amazing! The home theater is beautiful! I think you should have a couch on the bottom floor so that you can snuggle with someone to watch the movie.
This is seriously amazing, your friends must be in awe! I know that i am! At first i thought your entire garage was going to be underground, with grass on top. But, this is just as cool. I hope you get a really big toolbox, and a nice big air compressor.

With the cars that you have though, i would venture to guess that you dont work on them yourself.

Wow! Just stumbled on your build and am amazed! Great job! Thought about putting a tunnel between my house and my father's home but all my friends said I was an idiot. Instead added on to my house. Wife is glad I didn't see your build before we started. Thanks for sharing.
