Hi,
I have a 2 car (20X24X10) garage in Denver area and would like to have occasional heat when I work out there. I only need to get from the usual 40* to maybe 60* to take the chill off while working. I maybe need this a dozen days in the winter. What is the best (cheapest) solution for this?
Thanks for your help, this is a great site!

Cheap might be this - what I used to use:

About $100 for the double burner Mr. Heater and maybe the same for the 7 1/2 gallon propane tank, plus maybe $20 for the fan at Walmart.

If you have 220 power in there, for convenience you might consider electric heat - like any of the 5kW heaters discussed in this part of the forum. About $300ish, depending on sale prices plus the wire and plug business to hook it up. I'm using electric this year - no fumes, flip the t-stat and out comes the heat, no need to shut down so you can squirt some carb cleaner, no dragging a tank 25 miles for a refill. And if you hang small painted parts a couple of feet away, it makes a hellufa paint dryer.

I picked up a couple Kerosene heaters used, one was a freebe, the other cost me $25.00 on CraigsList. Doesnt get much cheaper than that, I have a 24x24 uninsulated garage and they keep it heated pretty good. In 40 degree temps one would probably do, but I live in Michigan and need two. I will look for some pics, but they are upright and can be bought at any Home Center new for about $125.

Thanks, it looks like the Dayton electric would be the best and easiest for me. Electrical panel is in garage so easy wiring!

There is a link to a Greenhouse type company that sells them for $259 delivered. Do a search for Dayton G73 here and you will find it.
