Default My new tool board

Well as the title implies, heres my new tool board. Spent about and hour with the table and miter saws last night. I did have the tools hanging off the peg board in the backround but the weight was too much, so this is what I came up with.

That's not what I visualized when you said "tool board" but it does look very nice. Good job! I really like how it's so simple and minimalist and yet still really effective.

Thanks Stuey. Yeah usually they are a bit bigger but I couldn't see building any more than this. The wrenches really don't need peg board behind them. The best part, I had all the materials setting around so all itcost me was one hour.

Not worried about tools walking away in your area?

Yes, I met him at the Paso Robles car show one year and he signed my truck. When I sold it that certainly didn't go with it. A few people have a Shelby sig on their car but that has to be one of the few Gibbons out there. He is one cool dude. We shot the shit about his projects and mine for about 30 min. before his arm candy got bored and wanted to leave. Just before he left I got that I have met several "famous" people that way. I think its a relief for them to be out in public and be able to BS cars and not have the rock star attention. Mind you I did tell him I been rocking to the Top since the 70's, he just smiled.

No I am the scary guy in the neighborhood. Most of my friend that stop by are heavily tatooed and drive old cars. Also I'm about 30 years younger than 95% of my little dead end hood, read that as no thru traffic.

Nice tool board, very cool Gibbons autograph!

I frequent the rock store here in Socal. I have met lots of famous people like that also. Jay Leno (actually remembered me from previous weekends), Nicholas Cage, Jose Canseco. Its true you never know who you will bump into there. Its the same there as what you were saying...there is an unspoken agreement that everyone there is just fellow motorcycle and car enthusiast. People don't bother stars for autographs or harass them. We are just all there sharing a common interest. Pretty cool really...(not too many places like that here in socal). I don't even remember once seeing paparazzi there when famous people hang there.
