Even though I don't have the authority to call it an official thread I just did. lol

Some of my favorite tools are my cordless power tools. Here is my collection let’s see what you got...

1. Black & Decker 18 v drill Dewalt 9.6 v drill (both 10+ years old still work but would like to get new batteries)

2. Dremel 7.2 v rotary tool (10 years old and won't die I used to use it every day deburring tool steel)

3. Skil 7.2 v Li Ion 1/4" ratchets (got them for $20 each and bought 4 but gave 2 as presents, super tool for low torque applications)

4. Snap-On 7.2 v driver and light (another good low torque time saver, the rocker switch makes this tool)

5. Milwaukee 12 v driver (Bought this for $75 shipped from Tooliday. I'm in love with this platform and can't wait to add to it)

6. Makita 18 v LXT Li Ion 3/8" impact, 1/2" drill, light (great tools with lots of power I plan on adding the 325 ft lbs 1/2" Impact and the reciprocating saw next)
.

finally a way to show off my cordless stuff without feeling bad for those who are still cutting steel with a hacksaw!!!!

im a big fan of the m18 milwaukee stuff, i know its made in china( all the brand names have some stuff made in china - bosch, dewalt, makita even), but i have already accepted that we lost that battle.

made in china, but the tools kick some serious ***, and the customer service so far so good as i have had my stuff warranteed and no issues or questions.

other then a few dead batteries after little use, no problems with functionality.

the dead battery issues were no big deal as they were replaced with brand new replacements, and are running very smooth now!!!

i love the bosch stuff toom but now that i have a bunch of milwaukee stuff, i already have plenty of batteries and 2 chargers so no need to pay for more batteries right now!!!

How does the 12 v hackzall work? It's so cute I want one LOL

I also plan on adding the 3/8" 12 v impact, I just wish I could get a 1/4" drive impact also but I haven't found anyone who makes one.

the hackzall is a great tool. when the cutting gets a little tough, the saw stops and you have to lay off the pressure then you can resume.

but excellent for tight areas, or small cuts where im too lazy to grab the 36v to do it!!

get the 12v impact and put a 1/4'' impact extension with a 1/4 hex shank.

i have proto impact extensions with 1/4 shanks for both 3/8 and 1/4. i beleive apex makes them too both with detent pins. very nice tooling and not the cheap stuff the hardware stores carry.

I have Milwaukee V28 drill-driver and Sawzall. My favorite but my Milwaukee jobsite radio/charger doesn't charge anymore. I also have a Bosch 36v Li-ion hammerdrill-driver. The Bosch has a slight but noticeable delay when I pull the trigger. And my 18v non-lithium set is Bosch with impact, jigsaw, router, sander, and the best jobsite radio (I sold the drill and reciprocating saw from the set).

Hi,

Ok don't shoot the messenger and don't get me wrong because I love cordless tools, but I am really starting to miss the old days when I plugged in a cord and that drill lasted 20 years without any problems.

Now it seems I need to replace those dead 18volt dewalt batteries,(trust me they are not cheap). If my math is correct after 20 years I am in the poorhouse crying the blues.

I am sure that technology will keep on building better batteries, but untill then I am going to cherish my few corded tools.

Still more power to the guys that use the cordless tools, they are wonderful time savers.

These are not actual pics of mine but I do have a full set of hitachi 10.8 volt mini drill, mini sawzall, mini driver, mini impact and mini flashlight. After using these 10.8 volt lithium-ion mini series cordless tools I don't know how I ever used the big bulky 14.4 volt stuff I have.
