Question Race Deck Insulation Question

I am getting ready to install my Racedeck floor. To those of you that have installed Racedeck, did you put any type of insulation on top of the concrete first? I live in a cold climate and I thought if anyone has done this I might give it a try. Or does the Racedeck provide enough insulation by itself?

No, I put mine over directly. Chicagoland here.

No problems, years and years and years later

So, I put down some cheap laminate floor underlayment under my Racedeck. Taped all the seams and such. Makes for a nice soft surface and it does make it warmer IMHO.

My concrete floor is also untreated, so I thought it would be prudent to protect it.

Cost was minimal and I am happy with the results.

$2.69/sq ft if you call them and tell them you are a member of this forum. Free shipping too

Yeah, seems cheap doesn't it ? Had my Racedeck a decade now and sometimes I think I should have waited until this forums discount but then I go look at my garage and all the years I have enjoyed it

I was looking at a lower end (price) product for my 12x24 bike garage, but for $2.69/sf I could make the switch to Race Deck.

I used a landscaping felt underneath. I figured moisture wouldn't bother it. I was concerned about the laminate underlayment dealing with moisture and spills.

Also, the free shipping is usually when they run their promo's (Father's day, etc.), but I think it is $2.69 anytime for GJ members.

Very cool. Do I need to call them in order to get that price? Or, can I submit a quote online.

I started with the on line quote, then via email told them I was a GJ member and they told me it was $2.69
