The whole garage was starting to look a little tired so we decided to do ceiling, walls and floor about 10 days total. (900 sq ft)

Epoxy Shield Industrial 2 coats and Clearcoat 1 coat.

If I had it to do over again, the only thing I would do different is purchase more flakes.

Part 1 of 3

The upgrade looks great. I like the colors. One question though, how much space does that step up take away from being able to park a car? It looks to be at least 8'-10'. It makes for an nice work area up there but I think I would like a flat floor all the way through. Non-the-less, great job on the "facelift"

I can put my Dodge Ram Quad Cab in no problem. The raised area is actually 13' deep. Great for the riding mower and everything else. It was the builders idea when we built the house 23 years ago. Absolutely love it. Thanks for the comments.

Looks good. Are the wall cabinets plastic? Are you planning on new storage.
Plastic but very sturdy. Got them at Lowes for about 45 each. Each one is good for at least 80 pounds. Weve got a lot of paint in the one on the left ... no problem. Also has 2 adjustable shelves in each.

I also have 5 Gray shelves to sit under the cabinets, I'll post a pic and add to post #3.
You can see the shelving in pics 1 and 2. I broke them down and re assembled 2 sections high.

Really like them, neat looking and easy to keep clean, just wipe down with simple green.

very nice. I come here to get motivated to do the garage at my new house.

Some of the projects are overwhelming then there are refreshing ones like this that make me want to dive right in.

I agree, this looks like something I could do. No electrical or carpentry experience needed.

If you don't mind me asking, what was the total cost of the project?

Is there an advantage to having the two different levels ?

What kind of Helicopter is that.

Two levels are nice because it's 2 distinct areas PLUS it's much easier to clean. I can hose down the car level without slopping up the top level. Car level takes most of the abuse as well as most of the dirt, mud and salt in the winter.

Good Eye ........ The Heli is an R/C Trex 700 Nitro.

Did you end up using the sand that's included with the Clear Coat ?

Yes I did. When it is wet it isn't like a skating rink, sand worked very well.

Just make sure that every time you pour into the roller tray to mix the can a little because the sand will settle to the bottom.
