Slab Question for the Forum

I'm getting ready to get this off the ground finally! I had some dirt brought in and I have a levee site for my 30' x 40' shop. I have to do footers for code and was planning to do stems walls with my slab. The concrete guy that came to bid the job today suggested that I do a Monolithic slab. From a little looking around and reading posts, I think it would be okay for what I need.

My question is based on my sloped yard and having to bring dirt in to get the site level (which is due to the drainage issues I have in the back yard).

I took these two pictures from the patio so it is looking at an angle from the right side of the yard. The yard is 5 feet higher at the right side property line on the right and the water run-off pattern is towards and in front of the shop site (I plan to re-grade the whole back yard when I am ready to finish grade from this project). I live in Oklahoma City and don't think there will be any freeze issues????

Assuming that all the organic materials was removed prior to the fill and that the fill is well compacted, a monolithic slab is a good option.

You are looking for a 8" to 12" haunch around the perimeter with a couple reinforcing bars in the bottom. WWF is fine for a floating slab but I like rebar in a monolithic pour because the slab will be subjected to any stresses generated by the structure settling or twisting.

I like to run a 24" high form around the perimeter. I place the slab against the bottom than stand a short form on top of the slab and add a curb to get the garage framing up off the ground.

I hava a 28 x 32 I placed for myself a few years back. It has been bouncing around on 4' of frost every winter without a crack.
