Not looking to spend more than say $150-200. Whats a good choice? I.R? Models and experience are appreciated! Will be used in a shop environment and get pounded frequently.
Mg325 all day! May be a tad over 200 but way worth it!
Most people are mostly correct in recommending the 2115TIMAX, just make sure you get the quiet version!!! It's called the 2115QTIMAX. Probably costs $5-$25 more but totally worth it. I love my quiet IR guns!
Even the "noisy" one is no big deal because if it actually has to hammer or take more than a split second to spin off nut, I am usually reaching for the 2135 instead.
How inferior is my Snap On MG-31. Not a pro mechanic here. Just a tool polisher that restores cars and maintains my own driver and truck.trailer.
He stated it was for a shop environment and it would get pounded frequently. I don't think the HF impacts have been really proven acceptable durability-wise beyond the backyard mechanic.HF 3/8" earthquake impact on clearance for $48 plus 20% off coupon $39 out the door. Originally $90 impact. From what I know, you aren't a "HF" type of guy, but these things are a steal... Look pretty darn close to an IR if you ask me...
Another one here for the IR 2115TIMAX. I've had mine for over a year now and love everything about it! Small, light, powerful, best 3/8 gun for the money, you can't go wrong!
