Last week, I burned up my Craftsman table saw ripping 2x6s for the front fascia on my garage. It was never a stellar piece of equipment and I believe the same one Bull had a thread about a week ago.
That evening I started looking n Craigslist for a different one. I wanted an older Craftsman belt drive or something better with out spending some serious coin. I found one but the guy wouldn't budge enough for me along with a 90 minute drive. I found another one closer for less money. After an email, I found it had belong to her father, who I assumed passed away or in a rest home. The listed price was $150 and she said she would sell it for $125. I took the wife with me after we "filled the boot" for MDA. When we arrived, there was a bandsaw, which I have been looking for too, also for sale. They originally wanted another 150 bucks for it, but he offered it to me for $100. I tried to deal but the wife spoke up.
So I bought it for 100 and the wife said next time she would stay in the truck.lol
The table saw was built in '74 and included about 10 extra blades and 2 dado blade set-ups. (model no 113.299120) The bandsaw was a Craftsman 12" (model no. 113.243311) and I'm not sure of its age but is belt driven also. It had a date code/serial number if anybody can decifer it 6346 P1007
