A really good deal; would be even better if the slides were ball-bearing instead of the quiet glide ... :)

Sears had this combo right before christmas with a free intermediate box for 299. There was a $30 rebate, but it was worth it. I think its a great box for the money.

That is close to what it is worth. This is the new Not Made In The USA, bottom of the ladder toolbox. They aren't selling because people want something better.

They are a decent box for the money. I have one going on 15 yrs and it still works like the day i bought it, and the drawers are loaded to the max. it's used everyday.

I just bought this one as a third box to spread out the tools some. When I got home and unpacked it tonight the bottom box had a jam in the back nothing big but noticeable, so I put it back in the truck. I went in and told them about it and the salesperson was awesome he gave me some drawer liners and the magnetic strip for the side for my troubles.

I have also owned the homeowners edition http://<a href="http://www.sweetim.com/s.asp?im=gen&ref=11" target="_blank"><img src="http://content.sweetim.com/sim/cpie/emoticons/000201D8.gif" border=0 ></a>(i junked it last year) and i'll tell you the difference is night & day quality wise.

Look at the ball bearing models before you buy; definitely the way to go

Doesn't look like a bad if you have something smaller or one of the Craftsman "Homeowner" series boxes. I have a 9 drawer version of the lower box and have no complaints other than some of the more heavily loaded drawers not being the easiest to open/close... My top chest is an 18" deep 12 dr drop-front and after having the additional depth, I wouldn't want a 12" deep chest again.
