Too bad as I only, only, have an old Columbian and very old Athol. 5 vices in all, but no Wilton. Recently, I met an 85 YO Black woman whose father was a blacksmith and ferrier who lived in Virginia. She told me that he was called to Sarasota to shoe horses along with other famous places. I wish I could have seen his tools.
Now, she might have the winning story. But, I didn't see a Wilton at her home.

I wonder if growing up on the same street as the Schiller Park plant counts.. or maybe having cranked a 'home run' thru a window when playing baseball in their parking lot as a kid counts

Mine is original finish, has original Wilton branded copper soft jaws, AND is from the Chicago factory.

Hi anyone have a base for an old 8840 for sale? or thoughts about sand casting an ear back on this one?
